I was wondering this earlier (I'm part Welsh isn't it). A good spur for them if we go up, sorry when we go up then next season they are very much in the picture for the Welsh squad if playing well and performing in the Champ.

Not sure if they would have played together, but 4 Taffs in the 50's were Elsworthy, Billy Reed, Doug Rees and Aled Owen. [I suspect that Owen joined Town too late to have played at the same time as Billy Reed].

Super geraint was the equivalent of 5 Welshmen rolled into one, so any game he played in wins this competition. If you don’t believe me watch his goal vs Reading in 94/95. He scored many many like this….perhaps, in his back garden… |  | | |
