Seems to tie in with Guthrum's earlier post although slightly more positive.

interesting, why are we 4th when we have a better gd than barnsley?

if we have to get 91 points to get promoted, that equates to winning the next 2 and 2 points per game from the rest. difficult, but possible

it might be sorted by chances of promotion, which is slightly higher for barnsley than us...

I guess the simulation has come up with something like 86.3 for Barnsley and 86.2 for us and they round both down but take the decimals as significant in the sort order, and consider that more relevant than goal difference.

Morecambe are the big losers from Guthers' earlier table but they'll be used to that! We have a tough fixture list left on paper whereas Plymouth have mostly cannon fodder. The real world doesn't play by paper rules but I think it's in our best interests to hope Barnsley beat them on March 11th. Barnsley also still have a lot of the top third to play.

Great. Bolton in the play-offs, but with a League One ref!

These form based predictions are nonsense IMO.

It was meaningless when it was saying we would win the league and it's meaningless now.

Very much so.

It was from Saturday midday, so before we won and Plymouth lost.

Which makes it worse in that it was suggesting Sheffield Wed had an 8 times better chance of winning the league than Plymouth. Who were on the same points as them!

Don't necessarily disagree but it is always fun to get some opinions floating about. Although on reflection it isn't something the board struggles with that, opinions that is!

On the bright side, it still gives Derby a chance of getting relegated.

Incorrect.

Its updated immediately after the last game played in the division. Look at the points totals in grey. I know this because i have occasionally checked it immediately after our games

The model is American l so one assumes the update time is US time rather than UK.

It's not giving us much chance of getting results at Bolton, Barnsley or Derby though, if you look at the 'matches' tab rather then the 'standings'...

Greater than 50% chance of getting a point or more in each of them - I would be happy enough to draw them all and delighted to draw 2 and win 1.

Wycombe at home is under 50% chance of a win.

Their model expects Plymouth to beat Charlton but gives them low odds for Derby (H) and Barnsley (A). Their run-in after those 3 looks a bit more straightforward than ours so it is important we close that gap over the next couple of weeks.
