While never questioning McKenna and being completely supportive of the direction the club was heading, I’ll freely admit frustration that we appeared to have thrown away a really good opportunity for the automatics - and that may prove to be the case. Idiotic throw away of points, a lack of bottle when teams came at us etc.
But the team seems to have grown. The new signings bedded in and a steel about the team. Well done KM, staff and players.
Today was hugely important. To win a tough fixture like that and to keep a clean sheet - probably the best win of the season. Brilliant! Six games without conceding a goal. And I thought we were too soft at the back. Oops!

Harness is the perfect sub for situations like today. He shuts down the oppostion moving the ball around in the middle third with his energy. His closing down is incredible. Thankfully today he added ball retention to his skillset and created a lot of space for other players.
However, I did roll my eyes when he smashed that excellent centre from Wes Burns high and wide. He's a culprit when it comes to us being clinical. [Post edited 11 Mar 2023 17:39]
