Agreed, Hirst was unlucky not to get a second as well. His movement was great and he brings in so many other players with his hold up play. I can see why McKenna prefers him over Ladapo, even if Ladapo will probably score more than him. | |

I'm gonna give Walton a mention. Not for MOM. But he made two really important saves early on.. Had we given them a 1 goal lead to defend, you can imagine the S'housery that would have followed...

It's absolutely incredible that he has seen out this run of games without a yellow, and without looking like he was playing within himself, either.
Although the fact that Luongo is willing to put in a block, slide, and, when necessary, a clip or chop has really made the difference for the kind of yellow players get for "totting up" fouls. Morsy used to have to do all of the midfielder fouling, now he has someone to share the load! | | | |

I think that's absolutely right. It's almost impossible to pick a MOM today. We look solid all over the pitch and we have done since that Bristol Rovers disappointment. I don't want to tempt fate, but latterly I haven't been concerned at all that we might concede late in the game. | | | |

That moment when he could have tried to launch it into an empty net but was crowded out from getting a shot away - he must have had 5 or 6 shirts around him and still kept the ball without looking phased. We’re lucky to have a talent like that at this level. | | | |
