What a thing innit. Walking out of Portman Road with the sun pushing through the March skies, still light, the rain having eased for a moment, with a wide grin on yer face. How sublime are some of our passages of play? If it’s all too late to secure autos, well whatever, can’t wait for the playoffs. I simply love watching us play. Some of the stuff we played yesterday was a joy to watch wasn't it? Some lovely close passing in and around their box, we moved them around the pitch well further back to create the space to play in, and at the other end our defensive play was excellent too - and against a tougher opponent than recent games.
I thought it was actually a better performance than some of the recent hammerings we have dished out. Keep playing like we are atm and we've got an excellent chance of top 2. |  |

Shrews are no mugs, and though we never made them look rubbish, we did restrict them to no more than a couple of half chances and kept stretching them all over the place whilst completely bossing the ball. Sometimes their midfield looked confused at what was going on. Thought they defended pretty well generally, and if they hadn't it would've been another four nil. | |

Burns and Davis both stayed very wide, which helped to stretch them and create some space in what would have otherwise been a very congested middle of the park. Really seem to have learned how to create openings against teams who are happy to sit quite deep and defend their box. It was noticeable that we moved the ball at pace yesterday too so that they didn't have time to set themselves, Burns got one on one so many times and had the full back on toast. | |

The level of consistency we’ve displayed shouldn’t be underestimated, all across the pitch. Even in the games we haven’t won we’ve generally stuck to our principles and dominated. I think we’ve evolved through the season, we seem to be getting stronger and stronger, I’m really enjoying a little more directness in our play at times which is great to see, we’ve become a really difficult team to play against. I love watching us right now, I genuinely think we’re the best team in the division. It might or might not translate to promotion, hopefully it does, but the future looks bright. |  |

It costs me thirty quid a month, I see some muckers and have beer and grub, have a laugh, and even the grumbling fannies in the ground don't annoy me any more. COYFB | |
