I reckon that any relatively fit adult could if you catch it right on the side of the head. Probably a massive haymaker would be the best option but maybe a right hook would do it, maybe even a one inch punch.
This could end up annoying the cow though which would not be ideal if one were to fail in their efforts to knock out a cow. I think that once you've hit the cow and it's still standing, it will probably be rattled enough to rush at you.
But then again, these cows aren't really smart are they? Would they even see you as a threat or just carry on with their day?
The farmer would also be a serious problem if they catch you trying to knock out one of his cows. He might turn up with a shotgun or something which isn't fun for anyone involved.
You might be able to press charges if he does shoot you.
I was walking along the Ouse river path near Ely yesterday. There was a small herd of cattle milling around and nuzzling each other and obviously distressed. This was because some moron and his wife had two of their three dogs off their leads and throwing a ball for them oblivious to the cows right near them. I went to walk past them and one advanced towards me, shaking it's head side to side. I soon beat a hasty retreat. Don't think a punch on the snout would have done much to lighten it's mood.
In Conan The Barbarian, Arnie knocks out a camel twice. And a camels head must be similar to that of a cow.
I've obviously seen Conan plenty of times, due to it easily being in the top 10 movies ever made( alongside Rocky 1-3, First Blood, Rambo and Convoy) I just don't remember so much animal punching. At least Clyde gets a bit of animal revenge in Every Which Way but loose
Not a hope in Hades. But I can tell you from personal experience that a human can be knocked out by a single blow from a cow. It can also be achieved with the hind leg of a camel, a horse's upper teeth and an eland once came close with a toss of its horns - but I just wriggled through the railings in time.

I got tossed over a wall by a yak once. Luckily there wasn’t much of a drop on the other side. Bloody things. They look so docile most of the time.
Might be best not to start on a cow, they do have previous. About 4-5 people a year tend to be killed by cows and it's something that has been something of a discussion in some circles recently.
No idea when I began here, was a very long time ago. Previously known as Spirit_of_81. Love cheese, hate the colour of it, this is why it requires some blue in it.
Back in the 80s when I was quite young, my dad would take me take me out rabbit hunting by night (Lamping for those ITK).
One night a horse stuck its head out through a fence next to a path we were walking down, scaring him so much he punched it in the face.
He broke his hand and had to have at least a couple of weeks off of work, the horse was totally unfazed.
I'd like to point out I have never partaken in such activities since , I don't condone punching horses, and my dad got what he deserved, but what a vivid memory it is.
