I do wonder if it was a deliberate tactic on Saturday 10:58 - Aug 21 with 2397 views | Guthrum | to play at a very high tempo, knowing that QPR would run out of steam before we did?

I do wonder if it was a deliberate tactic on Saturday on 11:01 - Aug 21 with 2342 views | Wallingford_Boy | Quite possibly. We also rode our luck somewhat! Could easily have been 2/3 down before we scored. Probably about time we got some luck though!

I do wonder if it was a deliberate tactic on Saturday on 11:07 - Aug 21 with 2296 views | wkj | On "Life's a pitch" recently they talked about how they feel this Ipswich team is looking tremendously fit and conditioned. It's inevitable that we'd use that strength in some way or the other. Starting slow and finishing strong seems to be recurring theme so far, and it seems to be paying off as we look much fitter at the end vs Sunderland, Stoke and QPR.

indeed the fitness and conditioning of this team looks incredible. In fact the goal itself was remarkable and i i can imagine is the type of thing they look at, reacting to set situations by doing drills and getting to your feet asap. Chaplin's reaction to the ball to get up and get in a clean strike so quickly was truly remarkable at that stage of the game. He should in no way have been able to do that but the opposition in comparison just did not react in the same way. That is a conditioning and mentality thing. Conditioning to be able to do it, mentality to react in that way without thinking about it. It was just instinctive by Chaplin to do that, but you have to have the right conditioning.

I do wonder if it was a deliberate tactic on Saturday on 11:59 - Aug 21 with 2023 views | Illinoisblue | Incredible that it’s widely and publicly accepted that QPR players aren’t fit enough to play for 90 minutes. Lads, IT’S YOUR JOB.

I do wonder if it was a deliberate tactic on Saturday on 12:42 - Aug 21 with 1882 views | SomethingBlue | I'm sure we were aware that as the game went on they'd tire – talking to QPR fans beforehand, they pretty much called the game exactly as it panned out (even down to Willock going off at 45/Armstrong at 60). Thought from a pretty early point that if we kept it at 0-0 beyond HT we could then go on and win.

Consensus across QPR fans and pundits... on 12:59 - Aug 21 with 1755 views | unstableblue | ... is they currently only have 60mins in the tank. I wouldn't say we massively changed out game plan or style.. but I did feel that despite a lot of people praising QPR we were still pretty good, and perhaps into the second the likely winners... and I think deserve winners Yes they had the heroic miss. But the lob, the Hladky block - we had equally if not better chances to score. And crucially we did score. One thing to note I felt we came up against our first truly difficult striker Saturday and it taxed us.. Sunderland and Stoke both missed that. Leeds bring their £35m man.. but not sure he's the battering ram we saw Saturday.

Ah, but could we be talking about a tortoise and hair scenario? (and yes, I did mean 'hair'!)
