Reading Keeper 23:57 - Aug 29 with 3889 views | FrimleyBlue | Anyone seen any highlight of the reading keeper throwing the ball long for their equaliser. I was in line with it and I could have sworn he actually was out of the box when let go of the ball. Not that it matters...but just curious if I was right.

Reading Keeper on 04:09 - Aug 30 with 3559 views | ArchiRob | if you freeze frame the highlights reel - you can CLEARLY see him holding the ball in his right hand with his left foot down outside his penalty area Good spot - and yes you were right

Seen too much of this from Edmundson imo. Maybe get a replacement t and send him on loan to get some fitness and regular football?

yup we are through so it does not matter but looks as if Edmundson does get his heel trod on . Think he got annoyed with the Ref for not spotting it and so got booked ?

First I've seen of it and Frimers is correct. Clearly outside when he releases it.

The foot is clearly outside the area, there's no doubt about that. Whether you can be absolutely sure that the hand was outside of the area when the ball is released, I'm slightly less sure, but he's certainly taking a risk. We got the win, more minutes into fringe players. Job done.

We said that at the time, and then seemed there might've been a foul on George too possibly...

Oops your right the ball has to be outside not the feet

The front foot is so far outside the area making it likely that at the time of release the hand was outside the area. Had this been a game where VAR was in use would it have been checked.

Would have been checked for a possible hand ball and a possible foul on Edmundson. All goals are checked in the Prem, unless, clearly nothing in the passage of play.

There is no physical way he could have thrown the ball that far, that fast and with that trajectory with his foot in that place and let go of the ball while it was still inside the penalty area - it was handball

I was amazed at the lack of appealing. It seemed really obvious where I was. But I guess apart from being incline specifically you ain't gonna know really

I watched the highlights this morning and immediately thought 'well, the keeper has handballed that'. Not even a second thought, clearly outside the box.

"Frimmers is correct" (Sorry Frimmers ). Yes, quite right, he was out of his area. Still, Edmundson . Really poor.
