No retirement for him apparently, wants another job after a little holiday.

The best manager we’ve never had.

If anyone gives him a job for more than 3ish months at the end of the season they are mad. He seemed very cheerful after their opening day loss. I think he's lost the drive.

When there were rumours of him coming in in 2019-20 pre pandemic due to Lambert failing, I thought that would have been a smart move at the time.

I also wonder what happened to Lambert, very good everywhere until Villa, did an average job there, and Stoke, came here and wasn't able to get anything going across three seasons. He was never that bad previously, a bit like Paul Cook. I wonder what didn't make it work at Ipswich.

Good chance he's leaving them in the highest position they will be all season though. Still a fantastic manager that gets results.

Sliding doors, he would probably have done ok and maybe Evans wouldn’t have sold, shudder.

He did well enough at Wycombe and Colchester, hence why he progressed, I'd forgotten he'd also done a bang average job at Blackburn and Wolves.

I guess given that he should have been avoided as a potential saviour here, what was Evans thinking? Just any name will do?

And he has had no backing from the board this summer. Performed a miracle for them last season and has been treated very poorly.

Quite a bit of snobbery from those who don’t rate him.

I rate him highly. Just never seen him that happy after a defeat which made me ask questions.

I rate him as a manager, I just don't like him and wouldn't want him at my club.

When Cook was sacked and post that dreadful 2-0 loss at Charlton, I was all for getting Warnock in to straighten the team out.

Obviously I'm delighted we went for McKenna instead!
