Trying to keep my chin up and just appear my usual self - I know I don’t make too many serious posts, but admit it’s a hard one today. I know it's a personal thing, so apologies, but everyone is always so supportive on here on what remains a very tough day to cope with. 9 years ago today our little boy was born sleeping.

Never got to know you. Never forgotten. Always loved.

Happy Birthday CT.

Love, Daddy xx

Will be up to spend some time with you later after Yasmin’s finished school.

My thoughts are with you.

I ended up as an only child because a similar thing happened to my late mother. I only found out about 20 years ago, and she didn't really like to speak about it but I sense it really affected her and she never really got over it.

Similar with me, but my mum didn’t carry to term. I also only found out much later too and the wounds were obviously still there. It was only when I got married they mentioned it to my wife.

Thinking of you Hoppy.

My boy is 13 today.

I'm sorry if that is an insensitive thing to share but I wanted to be honest as it means your message hits really hard and it reminds me to be grateful.

Much love to you all.

Time does gradually heal without ever letting you truly forget.

We all know that feeling that slowly builds, as a sad anniversary makes its relentless journey on the calendar, confident we’ll cope with it better this year. Laughing a few days before, pretty sure it will be okay on the day.

It never is.

Take the time out to remember your loved ones with your loved ones.

Make us chuckle when you’re ready and make it a damned good one, it’s your TWTD duty.

No apologies needed Hoppy Losing a child is the worst nightmare every parent dreads. There is so much pain There is trying to make sense of a senseless loss that leaves a gaping hole in your heart for the rest of your life. Time doesn't heal it makes the pain more bearable.Love to your family mate

I would have had two sisters rather than one but the first only lived a few hours, these experiences (although rarely exactly the same) are more common than many realise and, as you say, parents can bottle up their sadness.

And to Hoppy, I know it is a trite thing to say but, stay strong.

Not trite at all, thanks for the thoughts, and as you have known similar circumstances, would know what it's like to live with that sadness.
I always appreciate the support of TWTD, and the number of people that have interacted with my post since yesterday is positively moving and somewhat overwhelming, but helps more than people may realise. Thank you once again.
