I don't get the hype with him. All the ground work had been done for him at Brighton. Leicester will do alright under him, but the talk of him as England's next manager is pretty laughable for me.

Spoke to eldest stepson today, and he was very happy with the murmurs that this was happening… I think it’s probably a very good fit, for both Leicester and Potter.

Surely he did all the groundwork for De Zerbi?

I thought he would make a decent England manager.

Good man manager, gets the most out of players, gets his teams playing football on the front foot and punching above their weight, emotionally intelligent, pretty good communicator. I like him. Kieran’s similar in many ways imo.

Not sure you can claim that Sami Hyppia and Chris Hughton did the ground work for Potter.
They were a turgid watch until he rolled up.

Nonsense. He's a really good manager. He builds strong culture and community ethos etc as well as being very good at the football side of it. Done very well everywhere except Chelsea but that's there for all to see what a shambles they are and not sure anyone could have made a success of them at that point.

Great appointment for me. Chelsea just chews up managers and Potter made a mistake in hindsight moving there. (Although might have enjoyed the payout)

Potter will get Leicester competitive, they'll need it with potential points deductions.

Telegraph claiming it will be Cooper:

Not sure how accurate the tweet was, but saw something yesterday that Leicester might escape a point deduction as their manager being poached for £10 mill euro was the equivalent of selling a player for £50 mill euro, not sure why/how that is the case, but was an interesting tweet.

a niche perspective

Nope, looks like Cooper has agreed a deal. Leicester say Cooper was 'categorically' not the second choice, haha.

The Leicester forum is a good read at the moment. Some very contrasting views on Cooper.

One I thought was bang out of order but did make me chuckle was...

'Its the end of the night, you are a bit worse for wear, your trophy lass has turned you down saying she wants time away from the game.
Another dolly looking at you through her bong eye all night is still looking cross eyed at you.
Your move.'

Crikey, ex-Forrest manager now in charge or Leicester.

He had better start flying or there will be a section of the fans after him early.

Not very accurate I would suggest, as Leicester's PSR foul play relates to a period that's long closed, so any dealings post that period aren't going to be of any significance when it comes to that punishment.

Are Leicester bothered about Forest? I thought their rivals were Coventry and Forest’s Derby.

As for Cooper, if I was a Leicester fan I’d hardly be cracking open the sparkly stuff. Could have been worse (Lampard or Warner or some dross like that) but it’s a bit….meh.
