Transfer Business 12:29 - Aug 14 with 2623 views | cressi | Obviously things can change rapidly or not ,But how do you rate our dealings so far on a 1-10. One been awful and ten superb at the moment I'm hoovering on about a 5 the most exciting signing not counting the manager was getting Hutchinson back. Feel we are desperate to get some quality in before window clothes Not defenders from Sheffield United who let over a hundred goals in.
2.5/10…. on 12:36 - Aug 14 with 2549 views | Bloots | ….in terms of improving us from last season. 1pt - Greaves 0.5 - Muric 0.5 - Johnson 0.5 - Delap 0 - Omari 0 - The other one. 3.5/10 if we count Omari being permanent.

Transfer Business on 12:49 - Aug 14 with 2414 views | WeirdFishes | I’d give the actual players we’ve brought in so far a 7.5/10. Really happy with every addition, all a good age to develop and ability wise improve us. We lose marks for lack of PL experience and personally feel we’ve overpaid a bit on Delap but time will tell. Overall business wise I’d have to give us 4.5/10. We’ve clearly missed out on a number of key targets and haven’t brought in anyone in these positions (LW and CM) with only days until the first game. The protracted Szmodics deal also doesn’t feel great and in general I think we’ve not brought in nearly enough players to improve the squad especially in midfield and attack. Still time to go though.

Transfer Business on 12:53 - Aug 14 with 2327 views | mrshallisfit | 3.5 out of ten. The signings we have made would be masterful signings to get us promoted. They are not going to keep us in the Premier League. There is time to go but I'm very worried that Ashton has met his ceiling of ability. I think McKenna has those same worries as well.

I believe Mckenna Is getting frustrated with what hasn't happened over the last few weeks. These could be the most important 2/3 weeks recruitment wise for many a year
Transfer Business on 13:01 - Aug 14 with 2222 views | NedPlimpton | Getting almost a million for Ahadme is worth a couple of points alone. Omari would have been a lot of people's dream, but possibly doable, signing at the start of this window. So that's an absolutely cracking bit of business as is Greaves. Doesn't feel like things have quite gone our way since but we've made improvements to the starting 11 so I'll say 5.5/10

Considering we didn't have a back-up option for Leif last season I'd say "the other one" has improved us a bit
Transfer Business on 13:04 - Aug 14 with 2163 views | burnbudgiesburn | 6/10 overall, 8/10 on incomings so far. Hutchinson and Greaves are as good a signing as we are going to get considering the stature of the club. Always been a fan of Delap but we've likely overpaid there. Muric is decent business, a better all round game than Vaz. Better long passer, not convinced yet he is better with his feet in close spaces. Johnson a clever pick up (as would Alzate be if that happens) and Townsend is solid back up for Leif. There is no doubt we are short, particularly in midfield. Ladapo & Harness were nowhere near the team for the last 10-12 games last season and yet they look like getting minutes v Liverpool. For me atm, the first XI has been improved but the squad is currently weaker than it ended the previous season which is a worry. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

I think Townsend is probably worth 0.5 because we were so vulnerable to Leif getting injured once we lost Williams.

….Johnson has played there and when he came in I assumed that was part of the reason. Let’s split the difference and call it 0.25. Deal.

Transfer Business on 13:16 - Aug 14 with 1915 views | itfcsuth | 6/10 The players we have bought I think are good additions - but we need more, and ideally we would have had that done by now. Things could quickly move from 6 to 9 if the right business is done promptly.
Transfer Business on 13:19 - Aug 14 with 1861 views | FrimleyBlue | 3/10 if this was the end of the window, but 7/10 for the players as a group that we've brought in. Good additions to the squad, but the squad itself actually poorer than it was last season at the moment.

0 for Omari? I think this season's Omari will be better than last season's.

Transfer Business on 13:20 - Aug 14 with 1843 views | LankHenners | In terms of rating the players we've got in themselves, then about a 6. In terms of the window as a whole, even a 5 feels generous. The defence is the only area we look better in that last season, we possibly have a slightly better GK, the midfield has seen no additions and the forward area looks very light, albeit compounded by injuries right now.

Transfer Business on 13:29 - Aug 14 with 1680 views | Hipsterectomy | Generally disappointed so 4/10 Even the ones we’re linked to seem to be great championship players, excluding Phillips. Little prem experience has been brought in so far. It’s been quite a bad window when you take the blue glasses off. I can’t remember a summer transfer window where I don’t even bother checking TWTD for days as literally nothing is happening.

....but he might not. The vast, vast majority of our players have had no real Premier League experience. The Championship may be their ceiling. I'm sure that won't be the case, but at the moment there is nothing to say so other than the blind faith of supporters and an arbitrary price tag attached to them.

Transfer Business on 13:51 - Aug 14 with 1431 views | Illinoisblue | Even if Broady and Hirst weren’t injured it would have been a 5/10 rating. More of a 3/10 given they are injured and going to miss significant time. Perhaps the reluctance/refusal to shop anywhere other than UK is going to bite us on the ass. Be a shame to undo all the astonishing work of the last two years. (I know the window doesn’t shut yet)

Transfer Business on 13:53 - Aug 14 with 1384 views | BlueBlood90 | 4/10. Keeping Omari on a permanent deal was great. Shrewd additions signing Muric, Greaves and Johnson. I'm not sure Delap is worth the enormous fee we've paid but time will soon tell. Shambolic that we haven't done much more business than we have and it's left us miles short going into the season.
