At the point Hutch makes the pass to Leif at 3:08, Leif is just out of picture but at the point he comes into view after the pass has been made, he's dead level with the TAA, and as he was sprinting for the pass must surely have been onside. Delap was way onside. Don't know why they have all those cameras and it doesn't get shown as it was extremely marginal at best. |  |

I thought we'd be getting semi automated this season, but that doesn't look to be the case.
I actually thought he was definitely offside at the game but had no idea it was this tight. The issue for me is, now having seen this still, I don't think the ball has left Omari's foot yet, and the extra fraction of a second may make a difference. |  | | |

It is coming in, just not until later this season. I think I remember the reasoning being something to do with the technology required in the ball not being available in the ball used in the PL so a different system to the one used in the Euros is being developed. |  | | |

Even if he'd been on the ref hadn't indicated a penalty in real time had he?
With the new 'high bar' for overturning the on-field decision I don't think VAR would have given it. | |

I m not convinced with this frame.
The vertical dotted line from Leifs shoulder is much longer than the dotted line from Trents. Change them around and the offiside/onside becomes much closer.
I know about the perspective and Leif being nearer the camera but it doesn't look right to me. | | | |

I thought he had. He blew the whistle (for a pen) then the offside flag went up - and he gave the offside (Which VAR agreed with)
Had he not given the pen, they wouldn't have stopped play for a tight offside?
Could be wrong but that's how I saw it. | |

The most controversial thing about this decision is them using a red line for Ipswich and a blue line for Liverpool... Are they okay?

if you look at their feet in relation to the pitch stripe, Leif looks to be about 5-10cm ahead of TAA. Their body angles are very similar. So I'd accept that he is offside, but question the lines drawn by VAR which exaggerate the margin to about 30-40cm. | |
