The worth of a football club (or any other private business) is a largely imaginary figure, varying depending upon what criteria you use and how you weight them.
How does it assess the value of variable price assets (e.g. player contracts)? How is debt accounted for? And so on.
It's not like there are publicly-traded shares to extrapolate from. Even the "sale price" of a club will be affected by negotiation with prospective buyers and conditions in a very low-volume market. Not to mention complicated by deals with shares, writing off debt and other non-straightforward financial arrangements.
I'd say that figure is at best an informed guess and arbitrarily precise. Which if it's for the purposes of constructing a game, is understandable and neceessary, but not particularly in any real world scenario. |  |
