Poll: Who would you play at right centre back on Saturday?

Quite a lot of our league one team there lads.

In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!
Poll: With Evans taking 65% in Huddersfield, is the Banter Era over?

I look at the line up and the immediate word that springs to mind is Lambingo. Let's hope the result is different.

Hardly. Phillips not 100% fit. Cajuste not ready for another start. Johnson back from injury after his best performance. Szmodics and Chaplin with Hutchinson our best three.

Who would've thought 2 seasons ago we'd have 2 experienced international CM's on our subs
Bench!
Good to see Johnson back would've liked to have seen Broadhead start but he can come on later now and run at some tired legs
Quietly confident!!

What a bizarre take. 3rd game basically in a week with some fatigue/knocks and Johnson back from injury.

I guess either Burgess had a knock on Tuesday or Greaves has one today. Surprised Cajuste and Phillips aren't sharing the second midfield birth. Jack Clarke makes an appearance then returns to the bench. Hutchinson switches from right to centre then right again. Guess it is managing fitness, just the surprises reminded me of Lambingo. And the return of that word to my brain does remind me how far we've come.

Burgess back is slightly odd. Good for him and I'm not knocking it but still odd. Is Greaves injured again?

Burgess was an absolute rock last season, we dipped without him.

He's been pretty much faultless this season too.

I think Greaves is more comfortable on the ball, but does seem to have a defensive mistake in him.

I thought Cajuste was out best player v Forest.

Todays game wouldve suited him. Fitness issues?

You know what they say, "if he's fit enough to be on the bench then he's fit enough to play"

Too much shuffling of the pack for my liking....

You have to think there’s knocks and fitness issues but five changes so early in the season seems a lot to me.

Johnson’s obvious, as he’s returning from injury. Kieran explained Cajuste. That leaves Clarke, who was uninspiring and Szmodics the better alternative and Wes, who didn’t have the best game out last time. Greaves is the only one that’s not obvious, but he’s been out and KM did say they are managing knocks.

So it seems a pretty reasonable selection to me.

Three games in a week so there’s some rotation. That’s what I am seeing.

Interesting Taylor picked over Phillips, who surely must not be 100% yet

That’s very fair, thanks.

And don’t get me wrong, I prefer this team (apart from missing Cajuste) to the one that started against Palace. Burns and Jack Clarke don’t seem like starters to me right now.

Phillips isn’t fully fit - KM confirmed in his presser yesterday. Presumably they reckon he can play 20-30 mins off the bench though. We’re being a bit unlucky with these injuries when we need every bit of luck going given the slim squad.

He's been out for a long time. We have a replacement who has done better than he has. Seems logical.

He's fit enough to play. But they don't want to push someone who has had longer term problems, with three lots of 90 in a short period. That way lies a further injury...

No worries. It’s understandable, but it’s still a bit frightening that we’re going into a PL game with that many of our L1 side.

They might say that but if he is fit enough for 45 minutes why is the first 45 better than the last 30-45? I haven't heard a single Premier League manager or coach say it ever.
