Palace roll call, pre-match pub? 12:54 - Mar 7 with 3770 viewsunstableblue

Who’s heading down to Selhurst Park for some eagle taming in the spring sunshine?

Strangely buoyant about this one - Hughes and Mateta out… time for our players to galvanise themselves, put the season to date out of mind… and play up to our potential on a warm March afternoon.

Hoping Enciso and/or Omari fit, and Phillips in. And we go for the five with Wolfie, and Johnson.

Ground guide suggests The Prince George at Thornton Heath for an away boozer - anyone going there?

Think we’ll stop off at Borough Market from London Bridge and hit the Market Porter… always good in the sun and for a London game.

Enjoy - and COYFB!!

Suspect many will stay around London Bridge at Bunch of Grapes and a few others. Did that last year for Millwall away

I've been there a couple of times and my main memories revolve around how tedious the journey there and back is - with the exception of a young academy lad at right back last time we played there in the cup making Andros Townsend look pretty average, now whatever happened to the defender?

Planning to drink in London Bridge, Bunch of Grapes is normally where Town fans congregate when we play south of the river but is unbearably busy. The George at London Bridge is a good one but usually fills up pretty quickly too. Hoping to venture somewhere new tomorrow.

Also quietly optimistic, but I normally am at this time on a Friday and then not by Sunday.

Getting into London a bit later for this one, 10:53 train out of Ipswich and may head to the Prince George if time allows, they’ve also tweeted out that we are welcome.

Last time we went there I think there was a pub right outside Norwood Junction that let us in as wel bit a bit cramped!

Liverpool St to Norwood Junction (Liz Line and overground) is the route I’m going to take, is that the best?

Not feeling too confident for this one but think it’ll be a close game with 0-0, 1-0 (either way) or 1-1 being the score

Your poor lad. I hope you let him make up for lost time with a few fruit shoots on the train

Yep heading down on the train. Feeling strangely confident too. Really liked what KM had to say in the presser yesterday.

We’ve done well in the third kit on the road and in London - Spurs, Fulham and Coventry

2-1 Town

Thanks for sharing Tweet… think worth dropping in to Prince George.

Absolutely mate.

Quite possibly The Sheaf, but as you say, I'm sure we'll just get off the tube and fall in somewhere!

Yes very true, I said the other day about being unbeaten in that!

I will feel a bit more confident after when I’ve read McKennas words this evening and had a couple of pints in the morning!

0841 out of IPS.

Undecided whether to head to London Bridge, or head to Surrey Quays so half way there without the mad dash at 1400ish after the day gets away from us.

Really want the win, can see beyond a draw at best, so probably lose.

Then head somewhere to watch wolves Everton

Yep, looking forward to it, weather forecast is great too. Not sure where I'm drinking yet, either London Bridge or there's some random suggestions floating around.

One thing I'll miss if we go down is having so many easy London matches.

Not able to go tomorrow because a close friend of my wife has been rather rude and is getting married to her fella in the football season.

I've got a real mixed record at Selhurst, I've seen 4-1 Town wins where Pim Balkestein looked like peak Maldini, 5-0 defeats in the very early Mick days where we gave away 3 penalties, and a few in between. I think tomorrow will be a tighter one, I just hope we can 'stay in the game' into the 2nd half which would give us chance of going on to take 3 points.

Enjoy the day travelling Town fans. Beers in London Bridge in the sunshine & jumping on the train to Norwood Junction is definitely the one. Very frequent trains and only 12 minutes down from LB. Norwood Junction station is very close to Selhurst Park. Easy.

One min you are standing outside Ipswich station taking the piss out of what you’ve all decided to wear for the day, the next you’re running down the platform with some food to come home

Always a tough time having to time getting food right to get on the train plus the dash to get some more liquid refreshment.

I usually come out of Liverpool St. station main entrance, cross over the road (as if going to Dirty Dicks) and the buses that side take you up to London Bridge. Then train to Norwood Junction is 20 mins or less. Proper train is much quicker than the Overground, which stops everywhere.

If anyone accidentally finds themselves at Cry Pal station, just jump on the 410 bus to East Croydon and that'll take you pretty close to the ground.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.
