Hope, that's what fuels most football supporters, as after all out of 92 clubs domestically:
In the cups, max 6 play at Wembley and 2 win.
Max 4 can win their respective division
Max 4 can get automatic promotion with a further 6 at Wembley of which 3 win play-offs.
On the down side, 11 can get relegated.
There are another 61 sides which ultimately will have nothing to show for their season.
Oh, and I know the whole "top 4" thing in the PL to get into the Champions League - another thing I hate in modern football.
Used to love the European Cup when it was just champions, and then the UEFA cup was often the more difficult trophy to win, as it has so many of the other top performing European sides, with a random selection in the Cup Winners Cup :-), but i digress . . . |  | | |
