I see it from the point of view that we have players representing those nations and I want to see them do well. Hirst, Burns (if fit) and our Irish quintet. Not forgetting the legacies of old faves like Broadhead.
Having our players play on the biggest stage in the world has no downsides to me. Someone like Taylor could easily have 2 mil bumped on his value for one or two good showings.
If a few Scots, Welsh or Irish hate us, let the get on with it. Same with Colchester and to a lesser extent, Cambridge at club level, they despise us but I could never care enough to reciprocate. | |
