| What do you think O'Neil does on 18:24 - Sep 8 with 2004 views | FrimleyBlue | Think it'll based on who needs minutes mixed with some regular starters Think we could see Azor, probably Flemming ( unless he's cup tied? ), Walton, Kipre, Nunez, Clarke, Maybe Philogene, I saw earlier he's not far away from returning.. | |

Never thought about that with Flemming - He's cup tied. Scored in the first round.

Think you are right that it will be a blend. Its weird in the prem vs championship as far fewer games to manage minutes. Id actually like to not change keeper and defence too much. I think Walton will come in. Will wait for my official prediction as have 100% record for cup prediction so far 😂. Something like Walton Furlong Oshea Greaves Ouattara Luis Nunez Mcateer Egeli Clarke Akpom

Is cup tied still a thing? I thought they changed it so that Manchester City could play all their new signings.

Maybe Kipre for Greaves and Philogene (if fit) for Clarke. But a mostly very strong bench to reinforce, plus a couple of Youth for the experience.

He can play for more than one team in this competition (as well as the FA cup). | | | | Login to get fewer ads
| What do you think O'Neil does on 21:39 - Sep 8 with 1444 views | MK1 | I hope we show little concern for cups this season, they can wait a few years until we establish ourselves in the PL. I would play the subs and youth all the way in all cups this season. The league MUST come first. | |

I do agree cups are an incredibly low priority, but on the back of two defeats we should probably go for it. We need to gel the squad as quickly as possible and have 8 less league games this year, snd lots of midweek breaks to recover.
| What do you think O'Neil does on 08:01 - Sep 9 with 1105 views | _CliveBaker_ | I imagine we’ll try to win every game. He’ll make plenty of changes though with Everton away coming after. | | | |
| What do you think O'Neil does on 08:14 - Sep 9 with 1076 views | tetchris | We shouldn’t put any effort into the cup competitions this season and the priority is staying in the PL. we don’t want to pick up any unnecessary injuries in cup games which would weaken our PL match day squad’s. It’s a squad game so let’s use the whole squad! | | | |

Would rather he'd called it the Rumbelows Cup... (calling it The Milk Cup gives a bit of credence to that title as being worthy of anything - given it's about the only thing our inbred neighbours have to celebrate)

Sorba Thomas played in the Carabao Cup 2nd round this season for Stoke City, who were knocked out by Hull City on pens (with Thomas scoring the first Stoke pen). He subsequently joined Hull City and played last night as they got knocked out by Sunderland in the 3rd round.

Yeah Cup Tied isn't a thing now. That Sorba Thomas got knocked out by Hull 1st round, and then with Hull second round (last night). EDIT: Sorry missed someone saying this above! [Post edited 9 Sep 17:38]

Surely the ideal sponsor for your purposes here is the Worthington Cup, aka the Worthless Cup?

Rumbelows went out of existence in 1995… so hasn’t been relevant for over 30 years… when was the last time Norwich were relevant in any way? If ever? Seemed a good parallel to me.

Indeed. Plus it has the ignominy of having once had Donald Trump do the draw live on Saint and Greavsie.
