Well known talking head over here. Assume his investment will be relatively minuscule as with the former NBA player investor announced a few weeks back.
They also have this story from a while back - don't remember reading about him/his fund as an investor either (although that might be my shite memory!)
To be fair, 120 miles is massively nearby in American terms. In my head San Francisco and Los Angeles are 'nearby' but are almost 400 miles apart!
Remember in my younger days chatting up a girl in a bar in Chicago. She had gone to College there as it was close to home. A mere 8 hour drive. Blew her mind when I said I couldn't drive 8 hours from my house without leaving the country (or getting wet).
Another investor, ex-NFL player, who apparently owns a part of ITFC (I haven't heard his name mentioned). Or rather, he's set up an investment vehicle - originally for current and former sports people, but now open to others - which has taken a stake in Town. It might be how Cowherd and the Basketball player have put money in.

When I first read Phil's headline "US sports media personality Cowherd ..." I didn't realise that it was his name, not his occupation. In the land of the free all things are possible!
