Whats the date of the annual drink with Players?

If it fals in mid to late may the majority of players will have returned to their parent clubs.

Will mainly be fans and directors.

What a super offer ITFC have come out with for debenture season ticket holders! I think it is absolutely disgusting what they offer to those people who voluntarily helped the club financially when they needed it most. Oh and don't forget the annual free drink you can have with players and directors!
In order to try and get these people to commit to ANOTHER 10 years, it should be a 'good' offer. Maybe 10 seasons for the price of 7 is fair. Particularly considering the plight of the club over the past few years.

I guess its 10 seasons for the price of 9 and inflation proof. However I would think its only really tempting if promotion to the Prem is a real likelihood, as opposed to relegation to League 1.

If you factor in season ticket inflation, especially if we get promoted (even a cynic might say it's possible within ten years), then it's a very good deal for those who can raise that kind of money.

I think the original debenture holders thought we might get promoted during the life of their original investment. We have only gone backwards.

Although I do have faith in MM. I personally wish the word 'promotion' was banned on this site.

Agree with most of the comments above.

Thought it was a good deal 10 years ago, expecting to benefit from the fixed discounted price when we got promoted! Also preference on tickets for key games etc.

However, as it turns out could hardly have picked a worse 10 years in the club's history, certainly in my lifetime. 2 years of playoffs v West Ham, then downhill from there, guaranteed tickets for Norwich away and the league semis against Arsenal - those are the highlights and benefits in a nutshell. As I live away from Ipswich and the annual drinks was midweek, I never attended!.

If the debenture season ticket holders had seen PL football, a couple good cup runs etc etc then it would of been a good deal for them. Things didn't work out like that - but unfortunalty thats football.

I know they they helped out the club when we really needed it but they did think that they were getting a fairly good deal at the time. So its a sort-of gamble that didn't pay off.

Like the above I had a 10 year Debenture and it was well worth the money. But I am afraid the new 10 year offer on the table is not worth the hassle, give us 7-8 years for the price of 10 and I would take up the offer.

Go on a few good holidays and enjoy what they money can bring. Cost of living is going up, saleries are staying the same or decreasing, the weather is rubbish. Just live for the moment and have a ball.

well carlisleaway, I don't think anyone needs to be a "financial whizz kid" to see that 7-8 years for the price of 10 is unlikely to sell well (except to you of course)

My Dad had one last time around and is going for another, on the basis that in a year's time he will be 60 and eligible for a concession. However it's reasonably likely that the age for concessions will rise to 65 in the not too distant future so by buying a debenture this time around he insures himself against that risk.

Speaking as a debenture holder, to those who seem to think it is a flippant add-in, money cannot buy the experience of attending the annual drinks and seeing young footballers squirm with discomfort attempting to be polite to a bunch of supporters. Pretty sure they did not anticipate that when turning pro.

And if anyone is wondering Mr Keane never showed up - only manager that hasn't felt the need to show any respect to the supporters, who regardless of any possible financial worth (it was hardly considered an investment at the time), did step up in the Club's hour of need. And I for one am proud to have done so regardless of the quality on the pitch as it is our ITFC.

Thats funny I met Keano at one of the meet the players do's and have the photos to prove it and he was very bright and friendly and full of his Irish Charm !!!
