ITFC's Worst Ever Player 10:22 - Feb 16 with 13329 views | Ipswich_Loyal | Hi all, I have been tasked with writing a small article for FourFourTwo magazine about ITFC's worst ever player. Now, I have one or two ideas myself but I wanted to source the opinions of the ever reliable TWTD board members. Thanks in advance!
ITFC's Worst Ever Player on 10:28 - Feb 16 with 5463 views | WD19 | Crikey, on what measure? Worst players will barely have featured....so assume you are talking more the gap between expectations and reality (?). Nigel Reo-Coker deserves a mention. Personally speaking I have always considered Jay McEverley a non-footballer. ....and I haven't yet forgotten you Lee Chapman.....

ITFC's Worst Ever Player on 10:30 - Feb 16 with 5442 views | Swailsey | This should be fun... I think it's probably (although this is my opinion of course) technically Amir Karic (he's also voted Palace's worst player), but he barely played for us. If not (in my lifetime): Adam Proudlock, George Santos or Iver Ingemarsson. For being a sheer be*lend: Chopra *cue Finidi, Sereni mentions, then arguments

Took the words right out of my mouth. Played less than a game and then retired. How can it get worse than that??! | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Indeed. I'm not sure there's really any scope for debate about it.

I think you've got a lot to learn if you think either Finidi or Matteo belong in this thread.
ITFC's Worst Ever Player on 10:36 - Feb 16 with 5383 views | TractorCam | Any reason for the article? Within this list: Mark Fish, Ben Thatcher, Nathan Ellington, Ulrich Le Pen (maybe harsh), Amir Karic

ITFC's Worst Ever Player on 10:37 - Feb 16 with 5363 views | Lord_Lucan | It's all down to a bit of context though isn't it as it rather depends on the team he played with. In that instance I would say Les Tibbott but then again he was an understudy to the great Mick Mills. He was out of depth in that side but was still a Welsh under 21 international and would walk into the current team.

Le Pen is very harsh. Most unlucky player would be a better fit for him. Nathan ellington is a good shout. He was rubbish. Ingimarsson is another possible. Basically, you can just pick any of PJ's signings and you'd have a 50% of being right.

On the topic of Ellington, does Best also get a shout? Both signings certainly didn't fill any fan with any confidence, and they proved us right with their sensational goal scoring records whilst here

Ha, that's not what I'm saying. But both of them regularly come up in these threads. Neither are anywhere near the worst players.

Yep. I'd put Nouble in there too, but realise some have a soft spot for him. I just thought he was a bumbling cart horse who carved out a bit of a career off the back of being bigger than other kids when he was a teenager.

Ivar counts as unfortunate, in that he suffered a significant injury after only a single game (having signed just before his 34th birthday) and didn't really recover any form thereafter. He looked pretty decent for that one match at Bristol.

Harsh on Nouble. Had a good attitude, just wasn't ultimately very good. Definitely showed more than Best/Ellington did as well - purely for the fact he scored goals!

I dunno about that...except for that one game, he was truly awful. It was strange to see a player actually retire half way through a match..

I quite like Nouble just for the look on the faces of the oppo's when he was running full pelt at them! and the fact that, they didn't know what he was going to do, we didn't know what he was going to do, and he sure the hell didn't know what he was going to do!
