We’ve got to be doing everything we can to keep Alan Judge... 22:00 - Feb 13 with 5459 viewsKieran_Knows

.... here next season. An absolute pleasure to watch him and he’s not even fully fit yet.

I wonder what the clauses are in the option that we have?

Hopefully its a one way option and the choice is ours.

I wonder if Phil can shed any light.

Was everywhere tonight and will be an asset if we can keep him in League One. But tonight was his 30th game of the season and he’s started the last 5 or so - if he’s not fully fit now when will he be?

Haven’t we got him till the end of the season then a year option that is in the clubs favour ?

Would be immense in League 1 with a fit Bishop

Poor bloke was dead on his feet in the last ten minutes. That through ball at the end would have been fantastic but you could see he was spent. Excellent player.

Should walk all over teams in that league, IMHO.

we've lacked a dominating midfield for years, what we have now, even minus the loans, is a real treat.

He's far too good for L1.

As for last night and people saying he was dead on his feet for the last 10 minutes, he certainly was, but him being kicked up in the air after 80 minutes probably didn't help.

Given his horrific injury I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how combative Judge is.

Aside from his performance last night what I really liked was how whenever there was a decision to be made by the ref, a free kick or whatnot he was over chirping to the ref, calling out when they were trying to steal a few yards moving the ball etc... Not in an over zealous was but certainly a voice in the engin room, an influencer. Much in the way Magilton use to be.

He can hopefully show to Gwion Edwards what is required of a creative player, in terms of consistency. If we can get both of them firing, they could be a pretty destructive pairing next season.

My understanding is that we hold the strings on the option for next season, don't we? If we want him we can have him. We definitely want him...

Unfortunately, Huws seems to have more of a flare up problem, rather than a new injury all the time.

Doubt there is any way back for him now, at all.

Bearing in mind he's only played 5 games for us, he's played 450 minutes for us and only 624 for Brentford this season in the other 20 league games so was hardly getting a run in the team

Your maths looks to have gone awry there - he played 997 minutes for Brentford. 1,447 in total for the season - with over half of those since the final week in November

He’s been fit all season and getting regular runouts - there seems to be a misconception on here that he’s coming back from injury when he actually returned from his leg break in December 2017

Like we did with Emyr Huws? For all the moaning about what a waste of money he's been, he stood out similarly whilst on loan here.

I'm impressed with Judge, he definitely improves us but so would Huws. The problem with having a small budget has been that we have had to gamble a little on some players.

You could argue that we knew the risk with Judge though? Huws had come off the back of a very good 4 month loan spell with us, I don't think anyone could envisage the amount of injuries/length of time he has been out for.

I was going with league mintes, as he played 3 full games in the league cup earlier in the season.

He barely played, and then started 5 games in a row in Nov/Dec but got the hook at half time in 2 of them but other than that has been a few minutes here and there. You'd hope that by next week he will have played himself into fitness without a midweek game
