Exeter City Report 17:30 - Jan 4 with 3940 views | MrTown | I knew there would be some frustrated fans on here tonight, of whom I don’t know who watched the game. There is no way we deserved to lose that match today. We eventually retained the same shape of the match prior, a 3-5-2 which was the first bonus. Exeter offered very little throughout, we had spells of really dominating the ball and for 95% of the match looked the much better side. We passed, we moved, at times quite intricate football, thought Dozzell was very good for large parts of the game with his passing and vision, always looking to find the killer pass. We should never have been behind, just after hitting the post ourselves. Our goal fantastically worked and beautifully finished by Keane. I would say a lot more positives than negatives - Kenlock, Dozzell, Holy, Bishop and Keane were sharp. Only negative was Nsiala who was frankly awful.

Exeter City Report on 17:32 - Jan 4 with 3060 views | pointofblue | We didn't deserve to lose? We dominated the ball? We passed, we moved? So we should, we were playing Exeter reserves. Yet still we lost. Agree on Nsiala - how many more chances will he get?

Exeter City Report on 17:33 - Jan 4 with 3047 views | TractorWood | Fair play for going. The only thing I would say is that it doesn't really matter how we play. It's league one and two opposition, we just need to win. If a strong side can't do that there is something deeply wrong. We've not won in 12.

Exeter City Report on 17:34 - Jan 4 with 3018 views | jas0999 | But we did lose, because yet again we conceded more goals than we scored. Twelve without a win is why folk are frustrated.
Exeter City Report on 17:35 - Jan 4 with 2995 views | Horseboy | We are just not good enough in both boxes where it counts, it's just not good enough, can except odd games but this run of results is ridiculous

I understand that, don’t think anyone here is delighted with that. But as an overall 90 minutes we did a lot well too.

No one cared about this trophy when we were playing Tottenham u21’s. Now it’s another stick to beat with

To be fair....we are not short of sticks at the moment.

Exeter City Report on 17:56 - Jan 4 with 2708 views | JDB23 | I mean, we were playing a league 2 reserve team. If we played like that vs Felixstowe town and lost would it still be a good performance with lots of positives?

We are certainly not as threatening as we were at the start of the season. That is the main difference, the defence is largely the same, but we are not going forward with the same pace.

We struggled to score at the start of the season too, games against 10 men and Bolton U12s masked that but most of our wins were 1-0.
