Just a quick message to remind fans that..... 09:58 - Jan 14 with 4348 viewsBloots

....we are in the 3rd Division of English football.

That's the same league as Shrewsbury, Accrington, Fleetwood etc.

This will effect who we can buy and who we have to sell.

Some people seem to be forgetting this.

Just looked at ours.

They say 'Ipswich Town Sellable Tickets'. How weird!

and last admission time 1545.

Hope to see you and Mr Bluebell later, looks like it might be a bit damp.

The significant difference is the potential income from a transfer.

To date, there have been only 9 transfers of £4m-plus out of league one (according to Transfermarkt.co.uk) - none of them for a defender. The highest fee for a defender was the £3.5m paid for Matt Clarke.
https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/league-one/transferrekorde/wettbewerb/GB3

In contrast, there have been 98 transfer fees of £8m-plus out of the Championship.
https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/championship/transferrekorde/wettbewerb/GB2

Fact is, you make more money selling out of the Championship.

'Fact is, you make more money selling out of the Championship.'

Which is all the more reason to keep him until the summer when we *should* be back in the Championship.

Doubt very much that Marcus will see it that way!

* I am still not convinced we will be under PL.

The reminder being that my Tranmere tickets just came through the door and look as though someone has designed and printed them at home and had their child cut them out

....are sit where you like.

Although maybe the dot matrix printer they used just couldn't stretch to printing seat numbers.

You are so desperate for him to fail, desperate aren't you

...."promoted"??

Yeah course, that's a sure sign I want him to fail.

Stop being a knobber for 5 minutes son.

Mine have got seat numbers on them.

If you look carefully there is a number next to Cowshed Turnstiles.

Got a Promotional Code too.

Do you think the 9PYZEO250(on mine) is a seat number?

5 minutes is unrealistic. Best set him a target of 30 seconds which he at least stands a slim chance of achieving

But wait listen hear me out relegation could be good right because

In an ironic twist of fate, season ticket sales soar, attendances rise, travelling support increases, youth players become first team regulars and...the roof gets cleaned. Throw in blue nets, removal of the peeling paint and promotion contention and you'd almost be forgiven for thinking everything we demanded at the start of the season has been addressed.

ME's a little lighter in the pocket but lets face it, with the socio-economic divide ever widening, i have little empathy.

Weren't you one of the posters with an issue over Lambert's Norwich connection?

If we sold Dozzell to Norwich would that be ok too?

.....bearing in mind that we could well be in the same league as them next season.

If AD went to play for them he'd be dead to me and I wouldn't give him another thought other than to hope his career was a total failure.

Evans put us here. Now he can put his hand in his pockets and get us out of it then. Starting by not selling your best players for peanuts.

They have Prem money. We are in league one. Right now it's the same thing. We are three points from being top of the league. Selling Woolf now would be ridiculous unless it was a stupid offer. £3m would be shocking business. As i've said on another thread I don't believe a word in the Sun but hypothetically it would be a shocking deal.

Truly impaired.

All based on Transfermarkt.co.uk - which is *fairly* reliable, on the whole.

Regardless, you're right in the broadest sense. Lookman went as Charlton were relegated for example. Delph went for something high £6-8m maybe?

But being in this league means if the Blunts want Woolfenden, or anyone else wants our players from higher up we're done for.

This stuff will essentially test whether Marcus realises the error of his ways, or if he is happy to transform us into a Div 3 club hoping to make it big by going back to where he found us or not.

Interesting times.

But we are a massive club and should be walking this league in the next breath right...?

With the playing riches we have, we should be 10 points clear.
