If you could live anywhere in Europe 19:00 - Mar 22 with 7220 viewseastangliaisblue

Apologies if this has been done before.

Just sat here thinking about the places i wanted to go this year and probably can't now.

It got me thinking about if i could choose one place in Europe to live where would it be and why?

I would have to go for San Sebastion.
It has everything i want in one place.
Two beaches in sweeping bays, surrounded by green moutains to the south.
The food is amazing and the city big enough to have a buzz but small enough to not annoy me.
Instantly fell in love with place the first time i ever see it.

Where would you pick fellow TWTDers

I'd be quite happy in the Brittany part of France.

It's not 'trendy' France but has green countryside and is accessible enough for the UK.

Prices are good and can pick up a nice little pad for 60K.

And I know enough French to get away with it, I think.

I was supposed to be on the beers in Biarritz for a few days in a couple of weeks and we were planning a day out in SS as we had heard it was quality. That will be on the backburner for a while...…..

A small holding in south Wales.
Plenty of hills of tabbing and gentle runs.

Lots of rain for water.

That will do me just fine.

Assumption is to make an ass out of you and me. Those who assume they know you, when they don't are just guessing. Those who assume and insist they know are daft and in denial. Those who assume, insist, and deny the truth are plain stupid. Those who assume, insist, deny the truth and tell YOU they know you (when they don't) have an IQ in the range of 35-49.

Possibly the southern Danish islands. Baltic beaches, nice climate for most of the year, decent people. Not particularly cheap, tho.

Off topic and not meant to cause offence, I was told yesterday that Norway is giving priority healthcare treatment to its own citizens at the moment (in preference to visitors). Seems unlikely to me but these are straightened times.

Absolutely not. Only Norwegian residents and essential workers are allowed to enter the country though.

Bonaire stole a piece of my heart in December...although not technically Europe, rather a Dutch colony off the coast of Venezuela.

I love Scandinavia, specifically Norway. The winters are proper winters so lots of snow to ski, snow mobile etc. Summers have moderate temperatures, but long days to explore those mountains and paddle those fjords.

Although, from a design perspective, the house would be much better placed on the edge of the street.....
