"You must stay at home" 20:40 - Mar 23 with 15344 views | Mullet | Who is writing his speeches? He means "you will" doesn't he? Boris has not been clear enough throughout for me. His choice of language and form goes before him.

"You must stay at home" on 10:53 - Mar 24 with 1250 views | Terry_Nutkins | Really? This is Grade A unnecessary nit picking. No government can win in this situation. What an impossible task. I'm no Tory but they have dealt with this honestly as well as i think could be expected. Every decision has bad consequences and navigating through least worst is an impossible job. We are a country of arrogant, self righteous, selfish and moaning people collectively. I've seen it in myself as well. If nothing else comes from this i hope we learn to some humility and how to be better to each other out of this. We don't always know best or better than experts. Social media and google has given us high opinions of our limited knowledge!!! Lets follow and back the information and come together and show the world how we can beat this!

"You must stay at home" on 20:45 - Mar 23 by Ace_High1 | There is one problem. You can travel to work, but you can't socialise with more than 2 people...... but you can go to work and then work on a site with hundreds of people? |
Again it was fairly clear you don't go to work UNLESS you HAVE to. Any company not immediately taking action to get you off site and not in.that environment is failing a duty of care to you and country. Not easy but we're boned if we don't start listening or for god knows why continuing to moan and criticize the info rather than follow it.

There is no need for insults. Knowing when you should keep your opinion to yourself is a sign of maturity.

It’s a bit like farting in bed with a new bird, once enough time has lapsed it’s open season. In this instance in a worldwide crisis some people have decided it’s ok to criticise the government in this awful situation, I don’t mean simply questioning one or two decisions but basically looking for ways to criticise everything. I have however been pleasantly surprised by a fair number of posters who can see how difficult the whole thing is and are largely backing the country.

I agree to some degree with your assessment although it seems we are talking about the same minority and people are typically applying the OP to themselves a bit too defensively too. But your first and last sentences seem the sort of hollow stuff that's been coming from the government for too long now. As this thread and social media show in the last 12-18 hours people aren't clear and are wrestling with their own conscience far too much unfortunately. I think had Boris listened to experts sooner we'd have been at this point sooner, as Henners points out earlier they don't seem on message with each other yet again. The same problem faced the headteachers last week when greeted with a senior Tory who seemed very ambivalent at school closures. I'm seeing a lot of mates who are tradesmen very conflicted too. The toll on businesses and people is going to be huge isn't it?

I'm sorry, but it was a wholly unnecessary, goading comment from a troll in the first place.

Not being funny mate, but you think Paul Lambert has been doing a good job. Not sure I can trust your judgement on the capability of others.

He does sound a bit strung out, a hand overhand situation given enough rope? But I do reckon he should have paid himself more too, providing he was doing work to justify the salary to HMRC.

"You must stay at home" on 07:24 - Mar 24 by GlasgowBlue | Put yourself on furlough and you’ll get 80% of your wages paid. Wish I hadn’t taken the minimum salary allowed for a director though. I could continue to trade but I have to put my own health and that of others first. |
Can't you get your accountant to backdate it?
