What's your favourite Town song/chant? 20:43 - May 19 with 3776 viewsdominiciawful

Which ITFC songs and chants in the stands are you most fond of? Anything from the classics to humorous one-offs.

Poll: Which manager of the Marcus Evans era do you dislike the most?

None. I think we're pretty crap when it comes to that sort of thing.

Tony Mowbray song was the last one that had a bit of humour and individuality.

Although that might be tainted by us having nothing to sing about for years.

Poll: Do you think Pert is key to all of this?

A terrace classic, that. And, if we needed to measure society’s progress to respectability when’s the last time “get your tits out for the lads” was sung at a football match?

It was either for Marco Gabbiadini or Mickey Quinn, I think.

None. We have gone far too European and every song is marred by an annoyingly loud drum beat.

Remember this one sung at Carrow Road to the Norwich fans back in mid 80s to the tune of Allys army

“You’re just a bunch of f***ing w****rs,
Ken Brown bribed the referee ,
It was just a bit of luck ,
When you won the milk cup ,
‘Cos Norwich are a bunch of f***ing c**ts!

Lovely stuff! I always liked a good 20 minute Bobby Robsons/George Burleys blue n white army. Especially under Burley, as the team played with a rythm, that chant seemed to push them on. All stands could join in. Dunno why 'Barmy Army' had to spoil it..

It was a brilliant chant during the Lyall / terracing years.

We have come a long way, thankfully.

You don't hear "does your boyfriend know you're here" chanted at Brighton fans.

"You've been watching Mariner" was an odd one, when any opponent missed a chance after the great man had departed for Highbury.

Yes, but the Mowbray song was ripped off from an Arsenal one about Tony Adams.
There has long been little individuality in English football songs. The Scottish clubs (& I'm ignore the Glaswegian sectarian nonsense) have always had far more songs directly related to their club.

Ipswich, Ipswich, Ipswich … to the tune of Amazing Grace, FA Cup semi v West Ham 1975 - I was sat near the half way line - the sound of the Ipswich end singing that was incredible.

Second up "Jimmy, Jimmy Robertson, Jimmy Robertson on the wing …"

Not sure the current songs do much for me?
