No problem with anyone making loads of money and i don't know why you brought black into it, except i know why you did, was a nasty move by you in an attempt to try and label me as some kind of racist.

Except you expressed a problem with it voluntarily a post or so ago.

Given the rest of your response to a video denigrating him and the movement there was no malice in asking you to clarify. I was hoping to be surprised by the current attitude towards black success in Russia Today is all.

Only a short clip, has it been taken out of context?

I'd recommend watching the full thing. Talks about the need for black people to be treated as equals. For us to stop exporting exploitation overseas to make the goods we want to buy for pennies. The sort of stuff that's bound to get 'a certain sort' wound up.

I did think this particular comment was a bit odd, but then what do I know. As far as I'm concerned if black people want to shop in black-run shops, that's up to them. It doesn't seem much different from whites going into white-run expat bars in other countries or people boycotting shops for ethical reasons.

So much detail and nuance in all of this that I don't pretend to understand, but the one consistent is a bunch of white (presumably, based on their comments) males getting the hump when black people say they'd like to matter too. I made the mistake of checking in on one of the Swansea forums today to see if there was any Championship news; it was like a Tommy Robinson fan site. There's so much opposition to blacks saying they'd like a voice, it's scary. I don't think we're heading in a good direction at the moment.

I have seen the full video. Taken out of context a little. Goes on to say that “all lives matter” which I think is a really important message.

I think the black lives matter movement is a very good message and 99% of the public are doing it with the right intention and idea.

I still find it staggering that racism exists in this world, it doesn’t matter whether you are white race, Asian race, black race, we are 1 human race and should all be treated with equality.

I do think in this particular isolated clip, it would seem his choice of words weren’t the best, but I think he had good intentions.

So it looks like the clip was edited to suggest 'their' referred to white people, when in reality he was referring to businesses that support (directly or indirectly) oppression / racism.

In the latter context, his comments seem fair enough. And he does say that goes for any community.

It was a bit of a strange comment even in context, but Trueblue nails it above. Overall there's very little wrong with his broader message.

Besides, if I could only shop in shops run by blacks, I'd starve to death here in Swansea. There are very few in this part of the world (plenty of opposition to BLM though, and there's probably a correlation between the two).

I think you are right, I think if he’d of said “show support to your community” it would have gone unnoticed, but choice of words little bit off in that particular sentence.

Clip goes on to show that he his encouraging all to stay clear of “gang culture” and “gang life”, which I think is a huge growing problem, especially in inner city communities, reminding all it ends one way in jail, encouraging people to make more of their life.

Like you say, that clip doesn’t seem to have been posted for ‘particular reasons’.

But you know that's got nothing to do with the colour of his skin.

You have nothing else. That's basically all you have to offer - slippery, underhand, nasty and transparent tactics in an attempt to try and label people this, that or the other.

But enough of you, Joshua is a hypocrite and needs calling out.

Abstain from spending your money in their shops and economies he says.

But he has no problem with any of this though does he?

- Bombing one of the poorest countries in the world back to the Dark Ages, leaving at least 100,000 dead and 85,000 infants on the brink of starvation.

- Ambushing a dissident journalist as he arrives at one of your consulates, killing him and chopping up his body–while his fiancé waits outside for him to emerge with a piece of paper allowing them to wed.

- Putting to death pro-democracy protestors, who as teenagers used WhatsApp to organize demonstrations in a part of the country where a minority felt oppressed.

- Locking up people for expressing views peacefully, such as the women's rights activist Loujain al-Hathloul or the liberal blogger, Raif Badawi.

Not to mention how they treat homosexuals and women.

"Amnesty International stepped up its call for Joshua not to take part in Saturday's fight and urged the boxer to do research into Saudi Arabia's human rights record."

"Joshua, who is expected to receive nearly $80m for fighting Ruiz"

"The kingdom carried out a mass execution of 37 men in April, the majority of whom had been tortured or had signed coerced confessions in detention and were convicted in unfair trials, rights groups say."

Racist definition:

noun
a person who believes in racism, the doctrine that one's own racial group is superior or that a particular racial group is inferior to the others.

adjective
of or like racists or racism:
racist policies; racist attitudes.

Walk us through your reasoning that his comment could be racist.

Please also illustrate why an MP saying buy British wouldn’t be the equivalent of what Joshua said.

As a vegan, I have a preference to spend my money with vegan businesses, please explain how that fits in to your thinking.

Cripes, he's only gone and used the 'v' word.

It's clear your understanding of racism is more or less zero. If you're not willing to educate yourself then you'd be better served just keeping quiet.

Unless your black and have endured 1 or many of these injustices then you don't fully understand or have any idea yourself to be honest.

I think AJ will think twice about the venue of his next fight.

Doesn't make him wrong to say what he said, but he will need to stand by the principles of that speech.

I suspect AJ will recognise that, he's a bright guy.
