Seems a nice, genuine fella, making very good points - I wish him and his causes well.
Just a couple of things - we do not know the circumstances but I wonder why his mum had 5 children that she could not afford, surely she'd have worked out after 2 or 3 that she couldn't afford any more. Many of us stopped having kids when we worked out how difficult it would be to bring them all up.
The other thing - he tweeted about people having their water disconnected - but apparently that is impossible.

Quantify “some”. Seems to me it is enough for you, that a single story about a few people in a specific supermarket is sufficient evidence for you to question the whole point of trying to help children.
That sort of logic just displays very weak Intelligence and confirmation bias.
You also avoided the other point, if a system is abused, to you just get rid of the system as it applies to other government systems.

Free school meals have never been provided in holidays before. As I've explained losses to income have been protected by others means so this summer holiday is no different to last summer holiday for these people |
Kids are normally off for what, 6/7 weeks in the summer? By the time kids go back to school it will have been around 6 months off. Losing free meals for that long is very hard on some people, especially when you take into account that plenty of parents have been furloughed.
If you’ve never been on benefits in your life then lucky you. But maybe be a bit more appreciative of that rather than begrudging others who need help.
