That jeb-end Brandon O'Neil gets a decent amount of air time now and despite his history of being a member of the Communist party he is now slightly to the right of Donald Trump. The notion that the Beeb is biased to the left is laughable. I would say that overall it is fairly socially liberal in its outlook, but isn't that just displaying basic humanity? | |

I don't disagree with the thrust of that.
But let's be honest the BBC is just a bit crap. Certainly the amount of false balance and loose facts have been increasing over the years - no doubt to gain/retain audience numbers and get social media shares with clickbaity stories and views.
To return to some kind of trustworthiness and journalistic integrity, the BBC needs an overhaul and to be independent from government and the pressure to be competitive in an already awful media market. Because at present, the BBC is playing a major part in the falling standards in public life and political debate. | |
