Woolf needs to learn CB, moving him out for no reason and denying him game time there for what is essentially a pre-season friendly is pointless.
I'm only concerned with what happens in 8 days time and how it affects the line up. This just shows how badly pre-season is being managed. |

I'd play Toto ahead of Chambers... you would have thought Edwards at right back is a no brainer if KVY is out. Maybe he's scared of doing anything that resembles last season.
I'm happy with Judge behind the striker and happy to see him rewarding Drinan. Sets a good example for the other younger players.
It's just the right side that I would change. Like you say, why does he need to shoehorn Chambers in!?
At least we should have plenty of options on the bench. |

Why would you not play the bloke who's had hundreds of hours at RB at RB over a youth? It's Bristol Rovers in the cup, if Toto and Woolf can't handle that then we have bigger problems regardless.

Because Chambers is 5 /6 years older from when he played there under MM and has mostly likely lost some pace. We’re better off using him to play alongside Nsiala and managing him through the game. Woolfenden has played at RB before for us and has the ability to get forwards with the ball. | |

Woolfenden can do both. Nothing like living in the past and thinking that a player still has the same abilities from a few years back 🙄. Because he is 35?
Woolfenden is not a youth. He has had 2 full seasons in senior football now, one of which was spent largely playing right back.
He is far more athletic and mobile than a 35 year old Chambers, It makes absolute sense to play him at right back today based on the players available. [Post edited 5 Sep 2020 9:24]
