Taking back control eh?

The sad reality here is that none of this was not predicted, and is now being overshadowed by the virus.

The required infrastructure has not even had the money allocated, never mind started.

The computer systems needed are not ready, nor have the 50,000 or so staff needed been recruited..... never mind being trained - to deal with £4m extra forms a week.

This brexit idiocy needs to be pulled, and all resources being wasted on it diverted to dealing with the virus - which would remove any risk of shortage of medicines and food after 1st Jan

Bonkers innit. Uulla posted something about this yesterday too. Gove then today warning the industry that there could be up to 7,000 long lorry queues. DEFRA chief trying to sow the seeds of laying the blame for this at the EU's door, even though they've installed and tested their systems (Westminster hasn't released the money yet for our border improvements, never mid us having even put a spade in the ground).

JPMorgan has announced it's moving about 200 billion euros from the U.K. to Frankfurt, making it the largest bank in Germany.

The Government and all their nodding dog backbenchers still pushing a Bill that both threatens peace in N Ireland and makes us look like dodgy chancers on the international stage (killing off any hope of a US trade deal should Biden get in). I don't know whether you saw it, but Claire Hanna, Belfast South MP ripped into people on this yesterday (scary woman!):

I loved her 'magic sovereignty dust' quip in putting the idiot Bernard Jenkin in his place:

The Brexit dividend keeps on giving (in comedy terms).

Too late, we're out. We've got to put that effort in and spend the money or we're fooked on 1st Jan.

Have I mentioned recently just how utterly f*cking catastrophic winter is going to be in the NHS this year? People *are* going to die entirely preventable deaths.

The icing on the cake will be seeing these avoidable deaths used as justification for 'reform'(read:break up and privatisation).

I've often wondered if there is not some kind of competition among these right wing politicians - on the basis of who can make the biggest twt of themselves when getting up and speaking.

That is not taking a parochial line as it does not take much more than a basic grasp of the subject to realise they are talking shytt

We've got our flu jabs sorted.

Presumably the over-50s anti-vaxxers are going to turn theirs down, thus creating more floor space for sensible people.

There's no word stong enough to describe this farce.

I wonder if they'll have to setup another internal border as a holding area for those wishing to pass into Kent?

Thanks Brexit voters.

It's my personal theory that these people are destruct-testing the axiom 'no-one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the general public'.

You can only expect so much of the 50.000 extra nurses

and the 20,000 extra police will be busy making sure pubs are closed at 10pm

still, one positive - the extra vets required to deal with the movement of live stock across the border have yet to be taken on, so a great opportunity for the hundreds of thousands so to be made unemployed

I believe Serco have the contract, and interested people are being sent a large 'pin the tail on the donkey; picture which they have to attempt so as to determine if they are suitable or the job

Farage is a Kent lad, so yes.

Kent, I said.

Please note: prior to hitting the post button, I've double checked for anything that could be construed as "Anti Semitic" and to the best of my knowledge it isn't. Anything deemed to be of a Xenophobic nature is therefore purely accidental or down to your own misconstruing.

We have to let Brexit play out with all it's appalling, ludicrous inevitability.
It's the only way forward which might sound daft but until Brexiters see with their own eyes the stupidity of it we can't move forward.
Until they are in literal emotional, physical or financial pain they won't stop.

They will drag us all down with them but it's the only way forward.

Problem is, that when the eventual sh*tshow is in full force and people realise the gravity of the situation, trying to re- join the EU will be painful and we will be far worse off than we are now.

It's all so depressing.

Exactly this

I was told many years ago by a senior Tory that the issue of Europe would destroy the Conservative Party.

I was delighted when I heard this

What I didn't realise is that they would drag the whole of the UK down with them

An American bank (JPMorgan) being the largest bank in Germany are you sure? Sounds like fakes news to me especially given the size of Deutsche Bank and DZ
