In the modern age who are we allowed to critisize? 19:27 - Sep 29 with 25231 viewshampstead_blue

It seems the Gov can be slammed 24/7
People can be vile toward Tory MP's.

Who else? Norwich are fair game. That's a given.

However, when I dared to criticize a muslim the post was removed and a few people showed a dislike.

Why?

I guess I stepped on a 'woke' landmine.
It's sad when you can't offer-up genuine and polite criticism of a religion. Especially after that religion had screamed and screamed at a cricket club for celebrating a victory.

So, Essex CCC are allowed to be slammed by a person of religion but said person isn't allowed to be criticized?

Assumption is to make an ass out of you and me. Those who assume they know you, when they don't are just guessing. Those who assume and insist they know are daft and in denial. Those who assume, insist, and deny the truth are plain stupid. Those who assume, insist, deny the truth and tell YOU they know you (when they don't) have an IQ in the range of 35-49.

or there's your other standard contribution to the board: "the tories are c*nts, and anyone who voted for them is a c*nt"

again, your standard of discussion sores to such heights as to prove me wrong.

The only reason it bothers you so much is because you align with their views more than you'd like to admit. Your post history in the last five years makes it painfully obvious to most bar yourself.

Indeed. It mortifies me that lowers had anything to do with the Labour Party let alone has the cheek to have set himself up as its moral and political arbiter.

Unfortunately he’s not alone and it’s one of the reasons why the UK centre is quite a long way to the right.

if he came into my social circle of vegan pro-equality environmentalists trying to explain his brand of "left wing" he'd probably run off crying about wokeness and cancel culture.

New Labour is the left wing for those who still want all their cake and to eat it IMO.

it bothers me that there is a strand on the left which is just as repulsive as the tories. being opposed to one doesn't mean i'll turn a blind eye to the nastiness of the other. there are people who want to promote division for the sake of division - being against others is the only thing that seems to give them any meaning. lots of it on here. it the utterly crappest form of politics.

And so as the loose-bowelled pigeon of time swoops low over the unsuspecting tourist of destiny, and the flatulent skunk of fate wanders into the air-conditioning system of eternity, I notice it's the end of the show

No. You are the crappest form of politics.

For some reason, it’s a badge you wear with pride.

Didn’t you spend the last 5 years essentially calling everyone who supported Corbyn a cult whilst missing the fact the actual cult (BORKZIT MEANS BORKZIT) existed yet somehow that was all the left wing’s fault too?

Yet somehow EVERYONE ELSE is the divisive one? Let me tell you now, fence sitting will get you a fascist coup in charge these days, it’s happening now in front of our eyes.

If you were left wing you’d post pro-left wing things periodically rather than just arguing with left wingers about why they’re wrong (which may I add I’ve been waiting years for an argument from you that wasn’t a recycled tweet from one of those RAWR CANCEL CULTURE IS RUINING MY RIGHT TO BE RACIST folks).

If it looks like a duck and sounds like a duck, etc.

I’m amazed you’ve ever had anything to do with Labour. I’d never have guessed. You’re right that politics is in the gutter though. Well, there isn’t really politics any more is there, just tribalism. If we have to take sides, I’m pretty sure anything that props up this version of the Tories is on the wrong side (that includes Labour infighting). I’d rather we didn’t have the tribalism though. I don’t even like it in football, and that doesn’t have anywhere near the impact on people’s lives.

Don't criticize my friends
Criticize my ideas
Don't criticize my life style
I'm fed up 'cause all you want to do is criticize.
You've just closed your mind
Ooh ooh, criticize!
You don't realize, all you want to do is criticize.
I just want what is right
Still you say
Criticize.
