What mark out of 10 would you give Lambert for his tenure here 11:22 - Jan 10 with 4376 viewsWoolfenthen

Relegation with a whimper, pathetic 11th place finish last season worst for 60 odd years, slipping away again this season

I'd struggle to give him above a 3, and that's solely on his PR work in his first season for which he has now all but destroyed. Struggle to see any real positives from his time here.

I'd go for 3, I don't think his transfer activity has been that bad and he is developing youth players who could grow together into something greater but in terms of selection and tactics, he is way off

If he left, I think a competent manager should be able to forge something

I think a lot of the problems for Lambert are behind the scenes, we seem to get the same problems again and again with different managers. It can't all be down to the management

This. You have saved me writing the same, even the 3/10.

3/10 - And those 3 marks were for his initial gusto and signing KYV. Tactically 0. Treatment of Phil 0. Results 0. I literally can not praise him for anything football related.

3/10 based on the fan-club engagement when he first came in and having an alright transfer record.

Alright based on what? Without counting KVY (who's played 9 games for us), I can't think of any permanent signings who have markedly improved us and maybe one loanee (Garbutt) that did.

I mean, in may case on this arbitrary scale I did have to consider that Lambert hasn't killed anyone, wore a Norwich strip, or signed Johnathan Douglas - there is time for that all to change however.

2/10 for PR alone.

Lambert hasn’t produced one good result in over 2 years. What other manager would keep their job if they didn’t produce one good result in a few months?

So a post where the op says he shouldn't be 7/10 if it has 6 or 7 replies that all say it is a fair score. Would that count as a majority? We are talking end of November so not long ago considering we haven't played for 25 days

There was also more than 1 thread on it

Given that there are hundreds of posters on here then 6 or 7 people agreeing that he has done a 7 out of 10 job isn't close to being a majority. It must have been November or early December when there was a poll on here where over 90% of people wanted him sacked. You're miles off on this one.

I assumed it would be the case that regardless of numbers it wouldn't count as a majority. If 200 had replied to the thread you would have said there are thousands of supporters. The fact remains that on a thread all replies defended the 7 out of 10 in late November.

What was the specific question that produced the 7/10 result?

6 or 7 clearly isn't a majority of posters though is it? Around that same time Phil did a poll with hundreds of responses and 90% wanted Lambert gone. You're really miles off on this one.

Agree with all of this, aside from the 3.

He gets a combined 1/10 for KVY and his gusto (aka his facade) from me.

Seriously nil.

name one result he has achieved that has brought genuine excitement and pride.

Keane at least gave us the League Cup run

Mick - The play Offs and challenges
Hurts - Nil as well

On a thread with 8 people 7 is definitely a majority. There will never be an occasion where you hear from the majority of itfc fans

Norwood didn't markedly improve us last season. He might do this one, but that's to be determined.

First you said "most agreed", which, to every sane person, implies the majority of people on this board who have expressed an opinion on the subject.

Then you say that one post containing seven people, which has not been challenged constitutes a "majority". Sure a majority in that specific small sample, but not a majority or the support base.

It therefore does not support your position that "most agreed". The poll emphatically suggests that "most" would like to see Lambert leave the club.

Even when I posted in the summer, outlining PL and LO'N should go, over 40 people liked the op, and more commented agreeing. "Most" have not been on Lambert's side since last season's collapse.

Don't get me wrong, you are the most persistent poster to argue Lambert should go, your conviction comes across as the strongest and you were one of the earliest. However, you need to wake up to the reality that the majority are of the same opinion and constantly trying to drive a wedge between yourself and other fans who agree with you doesn't help the cause.
