Could it be close because the break clause is half way through the season? Would make sense why it has limped on this far and now seemingly near

Two years was what I heard, so a long way from that.

Can we just count the cup games too and call it the 2nd half of the season already!?

Phil what about at the end of season if we don’t get promoted? As what was remounted last season.

Marcus seemed to be desperately trying to get to that point. He knows how rotten it is but knows there was a convenient point somewhere. He has to bite the bullet but wonder if it will mean a player sale

At some point he's going to have to bite the bullet and pay off PL's contract - I was told the whole two years if sacked within that time, but not confirmed - assuming no miraculous turnaround.

ie. We'd have to pay him just under a year's salary at this point?

But it would be payed over time right. That’s what DM does at peterbough. Just pay ontop of new mangers wages

Because he’s a rank amateur

It's 106 miles to Portman Road, we've got a full tank of gas, half a round of Port Salut, it's dark... and we're wearing blue tinted sunglasses.

Something like that, maybe more if the years run to the summer, contract is up summer 2025.

So if they break the contract before the 2 years assume they will have to pay up the remaining 4 years?

That is how contracts are usually settled, payment made over a lengthy period.

Then will prob be the cheap internal option? Dyer.

That shouldn't prevent a sacking.

Most managers would walk away with upto 12 months pay off.

but isn't it actually a smart move by Evans? A 5 year contract which is really only 2?

the smart move would've been no new contract at all for a manager who hadn't as yet achieved anything

You’ll probably see a sacking just prior to ST renewals, not before.

At which point it will be too late for the season to be salvaged.

Poll: Would love to know the opinions on here now of Lambert genuinely?

I don't understand why an owner who happily spunked 750k for Donacien can't find a similar sum to pay off Shambert. Just bite the bullet and admit he's done here. The fans don't want him, by all accounts most of the players don't like him and the dressing rooms gone, pay him up and ***k him off. A proper manager getting this team up this season will pay that off and then some.
