Neil Harris on the shortlist on 14:25 - Feb 18 by N2_Blue | fair enough....you are more optimistic than me. I hope we can attract candidates of calibre but i think the allure of Ipswich Town has massively gone and we are not attractive in anyway now. |
I think that's reflective of the mood and pessimism amongst our fan base. Look at how much media coverage we've been getting lately, granted it's not been because of anything good, but the media couldn't care less about 90% of the sides at this level. We're still seen as a relatively big club that shouldn't be languishing in the third tier. The lure of getting this club going again and the comparatively decent resources on offer here, plus the fact managers get given a lot of leeway, all adds up to a decent proposition for a lot of managers.

Neil Harris on the shortlist on 13:32 - Feb 18 by chrismakin | Tbh I can't remember posting any 'def infos' other than a tounge in cheek team announcement at 2pm against Shrewsbury. If I had then it would have been in jest. I don't know anyone at PR. Just checked my posts and I cant see any.. let me know if you see it somewhere. [Post edited 18 Feb 2021 13:38]

Neil Harris on the shortlist on 13:15 - Feb 18 by itfcjoe | If people accept that the Academy has been one of the only successes of the club in recent years, then letting him be manager with the support of those in the academy to run the whiole club makes sense |
While running an academy well doesn't mean anyone is more likely to be successful at managing the first team, we are in such dire straits that I wouldn't be unhappy with Dyer as first team coach under Terry Butcher. It couldn't be worse than what we have now, could it?

Neil Harris on the shortlist on 15:54 - Feb 18 with 1081 views | clive_baker | Worse than Lambert is a stretch, Shirley? I would be underwhelmed with Harris and he absolutely wouldn't be anything close to my choice, but he did a good job at Millwall and a half decent job at Cardiff until this season, getting them to the playoffs. I really don't think he's right for us, certainly not now, but if it was a choice of one or the other I would have him over Lambert.

Not sure, we need someone who can get us flying and I seem to recall his track record in that area is poor.

Keane, Jewell, Mick and Lambert all got teams promoted from the Championship but failed to do so here, three of them taking us backwards.

Anita Harris is free. That would be a right old carry on though.
| We have no village green, or a shop.
It's very, very quiet.
I can walk to the pub. |

Neil Harris on the shortlist on 18:22 - Feb 18 with 920 views | A90sblue | In theory we should be more appealing now then when Mick went. Strong chance with the setup and budget we would be relegated, but now with a decent budget and squad on paper for this league, we should seem a great prospect for someone to get a promotion on there cv. Unfortunately we may be the perfect stepping stone club now.

I wish ITFC could fly way up to the Prem but they can’t, They can, They can’t! You'd need somebody very special to take the 'T' off Can't. Even Mr T would struggle and "he ain't gettin' in no plane fool" to manage us! But we somehow need to find an A-Team to get us back up with the big boys again. Any manager would probably need to be as 'Howling Mad' as Murdock to think they could get us back into the Premier League again in a hurry.

Neil Harris on the shortlist on 19:14 - Feb 18 with 810 views | Quilterstown | I think Mick Mills is right in suggesting we look at a foreign/European manager with better ideas than the "run of the mills" that are being put forward.
