Left out of the squad. Is he still a long way off? Too young? Or just not going to make the step up?

I think goalkeeper is one of our weaker areas so the thought of having another Wright break through would have been nice.

Edit: I guess for this squad he is too old so would cost, but looking longer term is he just not ready or not going to be good enough.

There was a thread on here a while ago who stated that the staff were totally surprised that one of our managers kept Wright on the books but released another keeper.

Cant remember the posters name or other fine details but the jist was that Wright her is no where near good enough for first team football.

Hard to believe but he is actually too old.

He is a player that kind of sums up the Evans era. Never seemingly quite good enough to make a league first team appearance but kept on a presumably fairly decent contract for no apparent reason.

Pryzbeck seems miles ahead of him.

It was Joe I believe .... Nick Hayes released, whilst Wright was kept on.

He could prob do with leaving the club for his own sake.

Hard to live up to what his old man did. Richard Wright must've made about 200 first team appearances by the age that Harry is now.

Poll: Would love to see one of our midfield contribute 10+ goals. Who is most likely.

It does seem unusual to keep players on who don't seem to be close at all.

It's a shame. Would be so nice to have another goalkeeper like Richard come through.

He's a young player we own. Loanees only if they're under 23.

To be fair, we have only really had Richard and Shane Supple who have been the only home grown goalkeepers we have brought through? certainly in the past 40 years.

I’m all for home grown. But poor Harry hasn’t really grown.
