I'm confused now.... on 10:47 - Mar 29 by Bloots | ....is it the vaccine that doesn't/won't work or is it lockdown? I assume you realise that viruses mutate, that's what they do. The flu jab changes each year to cope with the mutations, the same will happen with the covid vaccine. I hope you are being purposely obtuse and you aren't really this silly. |
Pffft. You can prove anything with facts.

Car wash / drug dealing fronts in Ipswich on 10:49 - Mar 29 by Lord_Lucan | I go to Blandford Forum now and again, I was down there for a few days last week and rather than go through Salisbury I got diverted further down the M3 towards Southampton but that's still a way from you isn't it? Must admit I preferred that route as Salisbury is a pain. Sparks Yard were constantly late paying their bills. The pictures of the premises looked amazing but I just guess it was too big a building for the business. I had another company down your way knock me for £25k the same month. What is it with you people down there? |
That is quite a trek Sparks issue was not really knowing what it wanted to be and charging very prices. He took converted the top floor to a pouncey cafe type thing which I think cost a lot more to convert and run than was expected. Plus the gut running it was a bit of a pompous know all dick I can but apologise, nit all Sussex business are like that!!

Bit harsh mentioning "a bit of a pompous know all dick" when you're talking about an issue with Sparks...

Are there "Real" people who "Think" like that?

Car wash / drug dealing fronts in Ipswich on 11:24 - Mar 29 with 1319 views | Pendejo | Assume you mean money laundering fronts? Or does their "Real Thing Super Premium" wash include some powerpowder? Had been wondering if the laundry industry has suffered tax year 20/21 - car washes, pubs, clubs, restaurants, cafes, hair salons all closed for much of the year, mini-cabs would look highly suspicious of they didn't show a drop off in trade. The narcotics industry has been carrying on as normal, one would assume that perhaps the demand may even have increased if people don't have the responsibility of work. Think of the growth thru in tax thru money laundering alone as the economy opens up! Rishi's money tree will be replenished in no time. (Alternatively, is that why there were some high profile high tonnage seizures in the last year? Grass your own load up to avoid laundering difficulties?)

My other half does some work with gangs as part of her role in child protection and things have got a lot nastier at street level so would suspect those further up the chai have been feeling the pinch in the last year.

Have to admit my car hasn't been washed since October, though have regularly cleaned the windows and lights. But then being in a second floor flat at least 75 m from nearest parking bays tends to put me off. Even the machine washed around here had been closed, so when they opened there were queues, besides they scratch the impossibly thin paintwork on my car.

I know that feeling!!! With me being forgetful, I would probably have to go up and down the lift a few times at least. Also washing the car would be fine, It is just I have never been good at polishing them. They always end up very smeared and looking worse than it did when it was a little dirty!!! Car wash / drug dealing fronts in Ipswich on 10:39 - Mar 29 by SitfcB | Why ‘should’ they be closed?? |
Well, there's been something going on in the news that's meant all non-essential businesses(apart from those that donors to the Conservative Party have an interest in) have had to close...

"The lockdowns have made no difference." Is that because you say so, or do you have any kind of data to back that up? Because the deaths graph was going straight up until the latest lockdown. And now it isn't. The Government got the first response very, very wrong, and should have closed down the country as eg Australia has. But they have handled the most recent phase well. The vaccine roll-out (when left to the NHS to just get on and do it) has been good, generally. Personally, I would have liked teachers and other front-line staff (eg supermarket workers, delivery drivers etc) to have been vaccinated as a high priority, but apart from that, no complaints on the vaccine roll-out. That leaves the small matter of corruption on a monumental scale to deal with, of course.

The lockdowns are entirely what has brought the numbers under control. It's the vaccination programme which will keep it that way.
