I reckon he has seen Harry Kane is out injured for a few weeks and has thought there's no chance they'll win the cup on Sunday. Goes out saying he got them to the final, may have won it had he stayed etc.

Tottenham joining the Super League is like Bananaman being called up as an Avenger.

Fair play to him if the rumours about him disagreeing with the Super League are true.

Maybe he'll be eyeing up the Portugal job after the Euros?

So he walks away with another bumper pay off and moves on to the next pay day

Taking the fans out of the equation (god knows the owners have) - I would love to see the ESL form, and the clubs banned from the premier league, FA, UEFA and FIFA competitions. The whole thing becoming a commercial flop - then they have to apply to rejoin the league - starting from the conference.

Again, sorry to the fans for this - but let's face it, they're already being f**ked over by people more powerful than my internal monologue.

It starting to look like this is gonna come crashing down on them. Early days i know, but there's so much opposition and in any casre, they're short on numbers - will any club dare join them?

ATM it just feels like they're trying to make an empire out of a sh** pre-season friendly tournament, drug out over the entire season.

It's going to crash, both PSG and Bayern have turned their back on it, so it's left with clubs from Italy, Spain and England, just can't see it happening without huge financial sanctions against these clubs.

I think it would be quite funny if The Premier league suddenly became the conscience of football and disqualified the top from receiving any revenue at all, or better yet, place a fee on them to remain part of it.

Anglo Italian Cup with Spain added. Anyone still annoyed we missed a game at Wembley because we couldn’t beat Port Vale.

A "fee" that actually goes right down to the grass roots of our game

Have Norwich issued any kind of statement on the situation, standing alongside their old European foes of many a year, Bayern Munich to slam it, or anything?

Hahaha. I tweeted Spurs that when they did their statement last night announcing they’d joined it.

Embarrassing state of affairs.

If Jose has indeed walked over this new sh*tshow, fair play to him. Likewise credit to PSG for having the moral backbone that I never expected them to have.

Qatari owned PSG may have baulked at the idea of a cap on salaries and/or transfer fees per the new ESL that their current wages / transfers would blow out the water.

I would suggest that is more likely than a moral backbone suddenly developing.
