Much of the money coming into football comes through sponsorship/advertising.
Companies don'y pay for exposure if they don;t think thse watching the games will not be buying their products.
You don't need to be a supporter of the six English clubs to do something. You simply need to let it be known to their sponsors that you will be boycotting their products - as with any company who signs up as a sponsor to ESL
We are millions, in fact hundreds of millions across Europe.
If they want this to be about money, then so be it.

One contradiction after the other
You originally claimed
"To confront powerful people you need organisation, solidarity and a clear sense of purpose, which, as a group football supporters don't really have.
then
"The Liverpool supporters group are organised."
"but their entire local fan base turning on them is still a bigger problem than a disorganised and vague boycott of tournament sponsors. "
which rather suggests the former would be organised
otherwise I am not sure what you point is other than to take up some contradictory position to satify some rather sad need.
To clarify, away from your misleading guff, I suggest that fans have the ability to hit sponsors hard in their pocket by boycotting their products. This has proved highly effective elsewhere.
If fans wish to organise to do this and other actions then so be it.
And despite the above nutjobs contradictions this will, and already is happening.
(a) "don't really have" isn't the same as "don't have at all", is it? It's good that organised Liverpool fans are removing banners. It's not a sign that it's "easy" to force change or that you could "easily" organise an effective Europe-wide boycott of sponsors and thus stop the ESL. (b) Liverpool fans specifically confronting Liverpool FC isn't the same as a vague boycott of sponsors. (c) It's not my fault if you can't follow a very simple argument.

"About 200 fans gathered at the Billy Bremner statue outside the ground as passing motorists sounded their horns in support."
I expect they were organised by some group. As were the numerous tweets, and comments in various football forums in both the UK and Europe.
or
This is an almost instant groundswell of protest, which will continue to grow. Boycotting sponsors products will have an impact, just as it has done in so many other areas. There is nothing 'vague' either. Goods are either bought, or not.
Simple your comments maybe, but they can hardly be construed as an argument. More a need to take a contradictory position to fulfil some weird social inadequacy.

People don't seem to be getting the fact that the target audience of all of this is global - not just European. There are hundreds of millions of people across the globe in places like China, India, Singapore, Australia, US, Middle East etc. who will happily pay to watch soulless ESL games because they're glamour fixtures.

these new fans may not care where these english clubs are based either. if each club gets to keep the revenue from their home fixture, then the skies the limit with pay per view. could they be relocated to the usa or middle east.

Fixtures played in other territories is most definitely a logical progression.

As if that were the case the PL's income from non UK subscribers would be far higher than it currently is....when the games have a competitive meaning as well
And given the far larger numbers globally, why then is this the case ?
Work that out, and you will grasp why this nonsense is flawed.

I doubt a full-scale relocation would happen but the next step would be games played abroad. You can fully expect Real Madrid v Man Utd in LA or Liverpool v Juventus in Shanghai. The Spanish Super Cup has already been played abroad in Saudi Arabia in 2020 for example. This is just the start.

Are they still going to pay if the UK government makes the work permit rules more difficult for football teams and they suddenly aren't full of the pick of talent from across the world?
Apparently it's an option being looked at if they press ahead and one that is obviously far easier to implement after Brexit.
It's also worth noting that those people already pay for PL and CL football, are they going to be willing to pay a massive slab more than they already do? There must be a ceiling at which people are unwilling to pay any more.

I've emailed my MP this morning, and suggested they introduce a special tax on these clubs. The six are all UK resident so could only escape the tax net if they fully migrated.
I've suggested 80% of their super league income each year, that would kill it stone dead

Trouble is, it's not the European market they are that bothered with, it's the Asian/Americas market which is far more lucrative, and they won't care one iota.
Shares in MUFC went up 10% yesterday!!

Won't people get bored watch the same "elite" teams playing each other all the time? Surely it's the rarity of such matches that makes them a selling point. Having them all the time would normalise and surely people will get bored of them?
Perhaps I am underestimating how much people love seeing the "elite" match of 9th placed Arsenal vs 4th placed Juventus.

Totally agree, also are people going to want to pay to see Arsenal v Atletico when they are playing a dead rubber?
The EFL will collapse if it doesn't pick up enough subscribers. JP Morgan will have put enough finance in place to tide it through what might be a couple of sticky years. I recall that Sky & the Premier League was not a runaway success. If you don't want this venture to work, don't subscribe. Advertisers will follow the subscriptions and viewers. The PL are in a tricky position as if they expel the 6 English clubs, what will the next TV rights deal be worth - relative peanuts. So the gravy train will end. Interesting that the UK government are clumping in with their populist size 10s, given that UEFA & FIFA rules specifically prohibit government interference in football.
Not that it'll do any good, but over 100k people have already signed this petition against it. I'm sure it would need to get into the tens of millions before the 12 clubs actually think about it... http://chng.it/N67xK5RM6f

But being linked to such a toxic and despised competition is not a good PR exercise for any global brand so I’d imagine a few of these “partners” are urgently reconsidering if they want to be associated with the ESL

much as my point above
sponsors have been very quick off the mark to disassociate themselves from what they see as 'toxic' groups, individuals (Australian cricket)
social media has made consumer action faster and far easier to galvanise - and with this being a concern for millions of fans across Europe it should not come as a surprise when threats of boycotts of sponsors become all too real
the nonsense that this could have no effect because it requires huge organisation and footballs fans do not have that has been blown apart in the last 24 hours, where spontaneous reaction has been right across the board
wait until the first 'everyday' product sponsor puts their head above the parapet to announce their involvement

Doubt it. The type of w@nker who will support the super league is the exact type who will be swayed by them having an official brand of toilet paper.

seems they do care
especially about their home market
and the supposed lucrative Asian/Americas market is not so lucrative after all
