Seen it suggested he would suit Paul Cooks system.... any one fancy him here?

I know v little about him really but his stats look good

Yeah I would have him, for sure. Proven at this level and would be coming off the back of a good season. To score 20 goals in such a dog sh1t side for the most part is some achievement.

He certainly gave our defence the runaround this past season didn’t he?

Watford and Birmingham are keen apparently.

Would be good but if they are interested then it's probably not realistic (although we could maybe compete with Brum).

On a free I expect a Championship side might take a punt on him. He's had a very good season but he's 27/28 and hasn't done too much prior to this year. Could be a late bloomer in fairness and I'd be happy enough if we could bring him in but I suspect he'll be offered more money to be a squad player a level up.

Would be a great signing, but i think he will be aiming his sights a little higher than a mid table League One outfit.

Yeah that would seem like a tough sell if either of those are keen, as you say especially Premier League bound Watford. Certainly looks a good player though and perfect central striker in our system if we could get some quality around him.

I think he's got a bit of the Daryl Murphy late bloomer about him, would be an excellent signing

I can't see what Watford would want him for. He's too old to be "one for the future" and he'd be nowhere near their first team.

I think there's perhaps an element of that. Or Kieffer Moore would be another example. Coincidentally I did some coaching at Charlton when he was there, albeit at academy level. It didn't work out for him there, but important to remember they were a competitive Championship side for the most part of that, and he's earned his stripes in the lower leagues since.

Whenever I've seen him play for Wimbledon he looks a real handful, and a good footballer. So much of it is about getting a rub, making the right move and that bit of confidence. Had Moore not taken that Rotherham loan, or that hattrick debut things might've worked out very differently for him.

So long as the money's similar, I reckon we could make a pretty convincing case that he'd be more than a punt/squad player here and that we'll get him up at the same level in 12 months time anyway.

Possibly. But can we justify offering a Championship wage to him to make it happen? I'm not sure on that one. If he was 24 then maybe, the potential upside and resale value is there, but he's pushing 28 and has a very patchy record prior to the season just gone. Blowing a decent chunk of our budget on him to compete with Championship sides looks risky.
