Don't worry Tom Hunt has a plan, which primarily involves winkle waving to the union jack and demonising immigrants.

What a time to be alive! 🤦‍♂️

And it’s a lot higher in many other areas around the UK.

As an overall rich country, it’s absolutely shameful – and even worse that it’s barely a priority for most parties, political commentators and the electorate.

Judge a country by how it takes care of its poor. But utterly condemn a country by how it accepts millions of poor children.

Awful, but not as important to the local MP as spending valuable time on culture wars and cheap distractions.

To be fair to the Tories they are trying to increase global poverty as well with the foreign aid cut. They are consistent.

Truly impaired.

Or do a Jimmy krankie up here, wave a saltire, turn the GERS figures on their head as a CASE for independence,"redistribute wealth", pointlessly apply for EU admission (too skint-see GERS figures),and hope for the best.
Oh the agony of choice 😭

Anyone saying they want to address poverty in this country whilst ignoring the absurdity of inflated property prices is dishonest.

It's at the core of everything that is wrong, when the average person cannot afford their own home.

If you pass it down through death you get taxed off the earth. A humble, honest gesture to your offspring.

If you're so rich that it doesn't matter you still get the same incentives to buy up even more stock at the moment under the Stamp Duty 'holiday'.

Insane that it hasn't only applied to first- timers only. Utterly wrong on every level.

It’s utterly embarrassing that this government gets away with so much. Cummings had just ripped his own government to shreds, yet I bet it barely makes a difference to Johnson in the opinion polls. Failure after failure and he just gets away with it.

Imagine if Sandy Martin was still the MP for Ipswich and those figures came out…..

Wise words DK and your sincerity shows through. No different to so many mature children and young adults whose lives have been completely destroyed by drugs. Of course because this is happening and continues to happen on the watch of the SNP it’s swept under the carpet and forgotten about by many especially the SNP. But not by you of course you constantly raise the horrors of drug addiction in Scotland and how barbaric this is as it destroys so many lives and how shameful this is by the lack of action from the SNP.

I've done addiction work for 25 years and it's easily the most fulfilling thing I've done.
To get someone off drugs and then I only see them again with a sore throat 5 years later,or in with their kid is absolutely fanbleedintastic 😁
And I say that as an ex-consultant gastroenterologist who became a tad dissilusioned and went to general practice-jings-see above😁

Top whataboutery.

If you actually knew anything about the drug death crisis in Scotland you’d know that the spike is mainly due to long-term users in their 30s and older.

You can't buy up more stock per se. The exemption only applies to your one primary residence.

Notwithstanding it's completely screwed the market as people try to buy by 30/6/21. Also, as you insinuate the people buying £500k+ country piles really don't need the help.

I know that was then, but it could be again..

Really? So you don’t mind giving millions to countries that have their own space programs, nuclear weapons etc? If they can afford that perhaps they Could look after their own people first and don’t need our money and it could be put to better use here.
