While I wouldn't exactly call him an attacking midfielder, he shoots a hell of a lot more than any midfielder we've had in years. He was taking almost 2 shots a game for Wigan last year. They are almost entirely from range though, he hasn't really been a guy who is operating in/around the area.
For Wigan at least, very much a deeper lying type who maybe looks more attacking because he likes to have a crack. Either way, he and Burns both like to test keepers, something we sorely lack.
Two very good signings at this level (if Evans goes over the line).
We're probably quite an attractive prospect at the moment; new owners, big interest from a global market because of the Ed Sheeren sponsorship and a manager who has done pretty well at this level.
More excitement to come for sure!
On a side note, everything about the club seems to have become more cared for. The owners are participating and things like the player interviews and kit announcements just look 'better' than they have done. It looks like more care is being put into every aspect of the club which is very positive.
