5 is to many in my opinion. Cook himself has said it’s madness to have too many loans. Two or three loans is okay. |
Lambert also said he didn't like or want loans. I think most managers say this, but if they have gaps that they can't fill or better players become available, they're hard to resist. |  |

Tbf all of these loans look like good players (Barry needs to be given more of a chance imo) and are better than what we could attract on perm deals. This is totally different to last season where we got loans in who were inferior to what we already had (plus the fact we went over the loan limit). |  | | |

i don't see coulson signing permanently, but he's probably a class above what we could get on a perm.
barry's an odd one, we might be overpaying on him, but could be a useful sub to unlock a defence. one thing in his favour is that he won't count towards the squad size due to his age |
I think we might get to loan Coulson again next season should we go up - or Middlesbrough may look to sell him as he'll be in the final year of his contract.
Walton, Celina and Bonne should all be possibilties if we're in the Championship. Barry's signing is baffling to me. | |

Lots of differences already tho between the two packs of loans
We brought those 6 in when we already had 10000 players and none were needed at the level of footballing experience that they came from. We even loaned out a RB and loaned in one!
We've loaned our current lot as part of of squad build.
3 x champ experienced loans. Maybe 4 with Celina
1 x young player.
Bonne has already showed what he brings
Coulsen too
Walton we will see of course but confident
Don't forget. Parrott hadn't scored a senior goal. Thomas had a fall out at Barnsley and it turned out to be mental health related
