Loanee lunacy? 16:05 - Aug 30 with 3670 views | Alberto_the_frog | Is anyone else concerned by the number of loans? Potentially up to the max 5 that can be named in a match day squad IF Celina comes? Where do we go in Jan if we get a couple of major injuries?

Loanee lunacy? on 16:17 - Aug 30 by jas0999 | 5 is to many in my opinion. Cook himself has said it’s madness to have too many loans. Two or three loans is okay. |
Lambert also said he didn't like or want loans. I think most managers say this, but if they have gaps that they can't fill or better players become available, they're hard to resist.

Loanee lunacy? on 19:17 - Aug 30 with 1056 views | Pinewoodblue | Signing a 25 year old keeper who played in every league game for a Championship club last season makes more sense than signing one from a league 2 club, and then let’s in 2 goals again.

Loanee lunacy? on 19:22 - Aug 30 with 1047 views | istanblue | Tbf all of these loans look like good players (Barry needs to be given more of a chance imo) and are better than what we could attract on perm deals. This is totally different to last season where we got loans in who were inferior to what we already had (plus the fact we went over the loan limit).

Not many were saying Harrop, Parrott, Thomas and Matheson were inferior when we signed them.

Loanee lunacy? on 20:13 - Aug 30 with 984 views | ElderGrizzly | Loans are short-term ways of nudging an advantage. We need to get out of L1 quickly first and foremost so we should use and abuse that market.

Problem is - Parrott apart- they barely ever played. Totally pointless signing loanees if they ain't gonna be regulars imo.

Loanee lunacy? on 17:47 - Aug 30 by positivity | i don't see coulson signing permanently, but he's probably a class above what we could get on a perm. barry's an odd one, we might be overpaying on him, but could be a useful sub to unlock a defence. one thing in his favour is that he won't count towards the squad size due to his age |
I think we might get to loan Coulson again next season should we go up - or Middlesbrough may look to sell him as he'll be in the final year of his contract. Walton, Celina and Bonne should all be possibilties if we're in the Championship. Barry's signing is baffling to me.

Lots of differences already tho between the two packs of loans We brought those 6 in when we already had 10000 players and none were needed at the level of footballing experience that they came from. We even loaned out a RB and loaned in one! We've loaned our current lot as part of of squad build. 3 x champ experienced loans. Maybe 4 with Celina 1 x young player. Bonne has already showed what he brings Coulsen too Walton we will see of course but confident Don't forget. Parrott hadn't scored a senior goal. Thomas had a fall out at Barnsley and it turned out to be mental health related Harrop.. Well no idea Mcguiness. we already had wolfy as our young cb

Loanee lunacy? on 08:03 - Aug 31 with 895 views | ElephantintheRoom | Well this is a club bought with borrowed money - so it's not a big stretch to staff it with borrowed players. But yes - not exactly like watching Ipswich Town - though some seem to like it.

You understand the difference between a loan and an investment don't you? Of course you do, you're just hoping some on here don't.

Loanee lunacy? on 10:22 - Aug 31 with 838 views | Nazemariner | If they are mediocre loans then yes, but look at the quality of the loan signings. Barry can't even get on the pitch, and he's the Brummy Messi!
