You've really done it this time.

Who is going to want to come here, be given 2 months once they have assembled their squad and have the fans on their backs straight away if they are not performing.

No decent manager would want to come here, and risk damaging their CV.

Nice one. You should applaud yourselves for your fine work.

You really should pack this bullsh!t in now. You're not coming across at all well.

Of all the tribute acts we have here, we really don't need Keanish ones.

Ashton spends hours a day reading this forum and posting his contributions, unless you've missed that?

What username does he post under?

Have a day off. Stop being an idiot with these deliberately inflammatory posts to some supporters.

Cook failed. I backed him and wanted him to succeed. I'm gutted it didn't but I'm glad he has gone, it was the right decision.

Plenty of managers would love this job.

We have a chance of getting this season going again if we can appoint the right man. The season was going nowhere under Cook unfortunately.

ffo kcuf, it was Ashton who sacked Cook, so what do you mean by "you've really done it this time" ?

Which club could these decent managers go where they'd get more patience? The average tenure of an EFL boss is 12 months, far less than that if you undershoot your predecessor.

In reality any manager who isn't rubbish is going to look at Ipswich and see (a) high wages (b) big budget (c) high likelihood you'll be able to improve on our league position if you aren't totally inept.

Congratulations to the new owners for not hanging on and accepting failure here any longer. Right message to new manager and our players, get it right or get out. He was backed, he was funded and he did worse than Lambert. Our worse ever manager.

Let’s keep rejecting failure.

Good to see the Cook cult members taking his sacking well.

Who are these Cook cult members? There isn’t one person that has said he has done a good job here.

Just because some people were willing to give him more time doesn’t make them ‘Cook cult members’

Let’s be honest, it wasn’t the fans or the board that sacked Paul cook, it was the league table and Paul cook himself, trying to dress it up as any else is frankly ludicrous and waste of everyone’s time.

The only Outers who counted were Mark Ashton, Mike O'Leary and the other Directors. Presumably they already have some idea of the answer to your question.

If a manager has assembled a squad, then how come it takes more than two months to get it functioning? It's not a very well designed team if it takes that long. These are experienced, professional players who have moved clubs before.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

Obviously this is nonsense but a few on here saying so were not that long ago blaming give-him-more-timers on Ipswich’s culture of ‘accepting mediocrity.’ At least be consistent! Can’t have it both ways, either what people post on here has an effect on the club or it doesn’t

It's really not just this board, facebook, twitter, the media, they are all contributing factors. These things probably carry more weight, now we have American owners, backed by an investment fund.

But it's hardly an outrageous thing to say is it?

I think if Cook/GC20 imagined that results could be this poor without there being much discontent expressed online or in the stadium, then they weren't being very realistic.

it's only get it right, or the manager gets out...

We have a very large squad and deep pockets. I don't think it takes a huge leap of imagination for our players to realise what the likely consequences of continued under-performance are.
