I'm fairly relaxed about it to be honest. With the squad we have I'd back more or less any professional coach or manager to get more out of them than Cook was getting. The key thing is how well the manager fits the structure and culture being developed at the club. |

Not sure to be honest. I like the idea of someone like Manning if available as I think someone a bit younger with more of their career ahead of them than behind them is the way to go. I definitely wouldn't want Warnock on that basis (plus he's a total penis), but most of the others I have no particularly strong feelings about, except Terry who I don't want near the club. |  |

Depends what you mean by this. Most fans supported the manager (whoever it happened to be) upon appointment which I think is good.
As a club we gave the past couple managers too long before ‘turning’ on them - which in L1 is strange when compared to other clubs. But not sure it means that we’ve judged managers poorly. |

As far as I'm aware no decision has been made, the process is still ongoing. Think they will want to pick someone who is viewed as acceptable by fans. Sets things off on the wrong foot if the new manager isn't popular from the off.
Interesting that Warnock is top of that poll as I've hardly heard anyone say they want him and I think there's little chance of it happening. |
Different audiences. I'm an oldie who reads Watson & co, and quite rates them, as do not a few on here. Nevertheless their responses point to a generally older fanbase who are not perhaps as wholly invested in football as many on here (including me). Warnock, they know-and he's a screen figure who has enjoyed success.

3 or 4 years since he took cardiff to the PL, thats not that long ago. He took Middlesbrough from the relegation places in the Championship to challenging for the play offs more recently. I dont think he is yesterdays man.l think he is the right man at this moment. | | | |

When a club appoints a manager it is always a gamble. It represents a major outlay in terms of salary for the manager plus, usually, his assistant and preferred coaches etc. And then he will want to spend on improving the squad.
IMO Warnock would do a good job in the short term. If he has applied then he would certainly get an interview.
And so would Harris. I don't understand why so many comments on this forum and on FB and in EADT are anti-Harris. His record in recent years is good. Who wouldn't want to be a fly-on-the-wall when (if) he is interviewed
Without being privy to the interviews I would be happy with either Warnock or Harris (and some others).

Likewise, Cook was my preferred choice as well. For whatever reason he just never seemed to be able to get it going here. Looking at the recent trajectory of our performances and results, at a time when most predicted we'd be clicking and getting better we were actually getting worse. That for me suggested he wasn't likely to take us forward, sadly. We pulled the trigger a little sooner than I expected but it's hard to argue too much with the decision. Even if his successor has a less impressive CV on paper I'd still expect them to do better than he managed to here. | |
