Yes but if he goes to a L1 club and doesn't that could really dampen his confidence. It's a big risk when he's in a good place at the moment playing week in week out.
Let him finish the season out and get as many goals as he can and come back for preseason bouncing and then see where he is. |
I think that's a fair point. Though, I am expecting McKenna/Ashton etc to be competent enough to have thought about that as part of their decision making process and assessed that wherever he will be sent is a better option for his development than Swindon was. |  | | |

Think it was largely a case of the matter not being addressed properly pre-takeover and then getting put on the back burner afterwards with so much going on until the day his contract was up. If Town had offered a couple of hundred quid more a week then they could have kept him. Not sure he was made to feel wanted, despite being the standout player in the Youth Cup team last season.

We’re kind of going of at a tangent here, but I think Joe mentioned we weren’t willing to offer him a few hundred quid more a week than what he wanted. But we knew compensation was coming if Norwich signed him. Point being….. we have got form from last year in letting a youngster go and using the money to buy players. | | | |

Possibly related - very weird that we didn't put Pigott on towards the end yesterday. When you're seeing out a game, surely another good header of the ball would've been useful?
