I’m sure I’ve seen loads but only the opener at Charlton in the 3-2 nightmare springs to mind as a first minute goal. Having a complete blank on any inside 60 seconds.

Was the season after PO I’m sure.. PO season was a Saturday away game at Fulham, Valentine’s Day.

24 seconds v Derby in 03/04.

43 seconds on 00:06 - Feb 20 by Illinoisblue | And on the flip side what’s the earliest we’ve conceded at home? Seem to think v Sheff Utd in 93 when Craig Forrest was sent off at North Stand end, that was very early in the game |
I seem to recall a game about 5 years ago where we conceded really early against either Leeds or Derby, it was a midweek game as I recall I was only just getting to my seat as the players came out and after we conceded I remarked to my dad that we nearly missed the goal but then we also scored a winner in injury time IIRC. One of those situations where you never get there late or leave early

I took my Colombian brother in law to that Fulham game, and the QPR game on boxing day. So he saw and Ipswich goal in opening seconds and dying seconds, and two Chambers fist pumps.

That was the playoff season where Berra scored the winner, and you’re right - Derby did score after 30 or so seconds Recall an odd post on here recently where a poster said that they leave every game early but for some reason didn’t that night and absolutely loved it, but have still left every game early since. Bizarre

I really don’t get the ‘leaving 10 minutes early’ thing, but even any time before the end is weird. How many spurs fans would’ve left yesterday thinking they’d taken away a good 2-1 win from Man City, only to be surprised and confused to see it was 2-3? It had echoes of Pablo’s goal v Coventry, the sinking moment followed by sheer elation.

43 seconds on 11:09 - Feb 20 with 597 views | SomethingBlue | My memory may be playing tricks but I'm *certain* Neil Gregory scored an insanely quick goal — inside 20 seconds — against Sheffield United sometime around 1997 or 1998. Went on to get a hat-trick. Must be up there in the top few.

They didn’t score from it though, we battled out a 0-0 draw.

Leeds the season after as well when Douglas got the ball stuck under his feet about 30 yards from our goal, got tackled, Leeds scored straight from it and Johnny Ogle got a viral tweet out of it from the club account saying he didn't know what had happened. From memory that goal felt like it was almost conceded from kick off - must have been under 30 seconds. Super Luke Chambers saved the day with a last minute winner.

I never leave early, even if we’re six down. However, for that Coventry match I had to make an exception, as I needed to get my son to UEA Norwich for a swimming competition by 6pm. Left it as late as possible but obviously missed the winner. That’s the only time I’ve ever missed a goal at a match I’ve attended.
