Prince Andrew 15:05 - Apr 4 with 5691 views | blueasfook | Not a good week for him last week was it? 1) Pathetic and obvious attempt to take centre stage escorting Queen at Prince Phillip's memorial service 2) New dodgy cash scandal 3) Weird instagram post (posted by his ex wife) rambling on about the Falklands war I feel 1) and 3) were him testing the waters to see how the general public would feel about him making some kind of comeback into public life. I think judging by the reactions I have seen the consensus is an overwhelming "no" !

He's definitely got a huge narcissistic streak, that could only come from a living a priveleged life and having everything his own way, and he definitely has some misguided view that the general public are thick and unerringly see the royal family as beyond reproach. As soon as his mum goes, I reckon Charles and William will hang him out to dry. Hopefully pack him off to live out his remaining days in some far flung colony. He's up there with Savile in my book, the sex pest [Post edited 4 Apr 2022 15:36]

Sat in front of his daughter on a recent flight to Atlanta. Very down to earth. Probably helped by me asking what did she do...

Really? Then she is as disengaged from public opinion as he is!

Makes you wonder about her moral compass.

I never really gave a hoot either way about the royal family to be honest, but the way they have acted recently has certainly shifted my opinion towards "better off rid of them"

Someone needs to take on a Steve Bray type job of appearing whenever he shows his face in public in order to heckle him and loudly call him a sweaty nonce.

My longstanding theory is to have a lottery style monarchy that changes every year or so, so anyone could become king/queen and their family would live in Buck House. That or get an animal to do it.

So you would sell tickets for the right to be King for a year?

I hope that when she asked you what you do for a living you told her that your main job is a regular contributor to a football forum.

I like the idea but it would likely need a Makin exclusion.

I reckon over three quarters would quit within 3 months. By the time you've stood there for an hour to cut a ribbon for the hundredth time for the Guild of Village Idiots unveiling their new HQ you must just want to give up. I bet the queen stands there sometimes and thinks **** this, I want to go and play GTA with a few cans.

I'd like to see Buck Palace turned into social housing personally. If you fancy a laugh, I'd recommend Sue Townshend's book The Queen and I. A republican revolution takes place in the UK and the Royals are sent to live on a Council estate - with hilarious consequences!

It has to have been, no one would have suggested that to her and been able to make her do it

Didn't even think about me selling the tickets, but now you mention it I am fully behind this idea. I can buy Town from GC20 with the proceeds at some point. Free hog roast on entry.

I'd be ok at it. I already even do the wave thing from my car window whenever I drive past any of my neighbours.

Whatever happened to hog roast at the footie? Seen it a few times in London, pork, stuffing, apple sauce all in a bap. Puts the cr*p we get offered to shame.

Was over representing Ipswich at the Sporting-Porto cup match recently as Bobby Robson ambassador, trying to get both rivals together in the spirit of brotherly love. Must say the portuguese bifana gives a hog roast a run for its money. But, as you say, the crackling, stuffing and apple sauce set it apart. King of football matches, steam rallies and similar events. Mark of a dying nation.

Portuguese briana is a food of the gods. Up there with grilled fresh sardihas, salt cod and Guia piri-piri chicken.
